Ginny's POV
Class's started. I was happy enough, but the ball was coming up. I had totally forgotten about that. Now everyone was jittery and I realized it was in two days. Draco had asked me. I squealed. Hermione laughed. We were making our way towards the dress shop in Hogsmead. We opened the doors and our faces dropped. Dresses were stuffed in every nook and cranny of the place. With all colors, I was trying to count. It was impossible. Then from behind a rack of dresses came a very short and squished lady. "Hello. My names Pishy. How can I help you." She said it with a squeak, and I nearly laughed out loud. Pishy? Really? Mione answered. "We need dresses." Pishy looked delighted. "We have a bunch. Any certain color?" Mione shook her head. But for some reason I blurted out..."Green. Dark, rich green. For me..." Mione stared at me. But Pishy just nodded excitedly. "Right this way dear." She squeaked and pulled along the isles of gowns 'till we came to one completely green. Racks upon racks of all greens were floating before us. "Well...I guess you said dark." She snapped her fingers. All the light hues of dresses disappeared. All that was left was cedar tree color, mossy, and emerald. I was still in awe. Pishy giggled. "Try anything you like dear. I'm going to fix your young lady over there up." And with that she waddled away. Under racks of knee length dresses. I studied the rack in front of me. They were mostly mossy. And I didn't want to go looking like a marsh. I shook my head. To my surprised the whole rack vanished. I moved on. This time a little more careful about how I moved my head. I came upon the cedar tree color. My eyes fell on a faded green with tulle lace running down the side. It was a maybe. I shrugged, and the dress disappeared too, but then reappeared on an empty rack a few yards away. The rack was labeled 'maybe'. I didn't have an interest in the other cedar tree color dresses. I touched the rack and shook my head. It vanished. I then turned a 360 and came face to face with the emerald section. The dresses sparkled in the brightly lit store. I looked at the first one. It was really puffy. And it was really low cut. I touched it and shook my head. It vaporized. The second one was almost black with studs sticking out of the straps. It too was soon turned to air. The third and fourth were kind of dull. Draco wouldn't want that. They were gone too. Turned into thin air. I was down to the last gown. I was sweating. I was about to just give up when the gown caught my eye. It was simple, all emerald, but there was no back. And the sides were cut low giving me room to breathe. My eyes filled with tears. I actually found one. The first dress I had since...Fred's funeral. I clutched it nodding. It zoomed out of my hands and onto the counter to pay. I was walking towards the counter when Pishy came from under a rack. "My dear, you can't leave without make up and shoes. She snapped her fingers again. A chair and makeup table produced in front of me. "Please sit. Dear...hmm. Blue...wow. Really blue eyes. That knocks out blue...not brown. And not green. Black...nude...gray...got it!" She clapped her hands. A set appeared in her hands. "Listen closely dear. Tell me if your allergic to any of the following....sodium. Canton iteration. Sulfur. Salt. False coloring. Philios. Marble sediment...or any food that may contain gluten?" I didn't know half of the stuff she said. "Uh...no. I'm not." She nodded ."Good." She clapped twice and she rose into the air. Now right at my height. As me sitting down that is. "Close your eyes...no peeking." I did what she squeakily commanded me to do. She lathered my eyes. I could tell but the way she moved she had great experience. I felt the eyeliner being drawn across me eye. And not stopping till it reached the edge of my temple. Then the mascara came. I had to look up. I tried to peek but the mirror was gone. She continued to touch at my eyes. The used a pencil eyeliner for my bottom lids. Then she said to make a fish face. I felt extremely stupid, but I did and she then brushed conjuring across my cheek bones. She then said to smile and she added lip stain. A nude color, but then red lipstick. She curled my hair and tugged it up into a formal knot. The loose hair was curled and then I was asked my favorite flower out of the choices. I picked a white tiny rose. I felt her hands thread the roses into my bun. The she stepped back clapped and then kept her hands clasped in anticipation. "Open." I slowly opened my eyes. And I nearly fell. The person in the mirror looked amazing. Cheeks glistening and eyes flickering with white pearly sparkles. My eyeliner was perfect. Even and straight. Now my hair looked like Aphrodite's garden of roses. They were beautiful! "It's perfect" I breathed. Then she clapped. And waved her wand. My face glittered gold, then the makeup and roses were gone. She then closed the pack. "Use this the night of the ball. Your young lady knows the spell to put it back on. I'm pleased to have been any service at all." Then Mione came around the corner. Holding both bags with dresses and a pack of her own. She giggled. "We might want to get back to school. It's almost dinner time. Then I need to study. We have charms homework." I nodded and laughed.
