Hermione's POV
I stood pacing in front of the mirror. Where was Gin? Did something happen? The dance is in two hours...they cancelled class!!! Just then the door opened and in came Gin with a confident smile on her face. "Let's make some bitchy faces go slack." I laughed, but was still a little troubled about the sudden end to potions. "Mione? I never saw your dress. Put it on first." I sighed. I was asked by Ron so of course I wanted to dress nice. Well formal. But...I knew Gin was going to look out standing. And I was going to be in the back ground again. "Fine. But you can't laugh if it doesn't look right." I the walked into the bathroom, leaving Ginny to wait out side. I started to take off my skinny jeans. It was a lot harder than it looked. I ended up falling on the hard ground. I winced and stood back up. My dress was in the towel closet. It was a white one shouldered dress and one side was cut. I was in love with it. But the fact that I'm wearing it kind of makes it a little more dull. I slipped it on. My breasts actually looked okay in the dress. I pulled on my Lacey heels and wobbled. "Filite!" My legs became straight and more relaxed. I then pulled out the little makeup container and I said the very hard to pronounce spell. "Elchèchisar," the makeup zoomed out of the container and onto my face. I looked quite pretty. I slowly stepped out of the bathroom. Ginny practically gasped. Well... she did gasp. But she almost started to praise me. "Oh Mione, you look absolutely wonderful!!! My turn." And with that the bathroom door slammed once again.
Ginny's POV
I sighed. And pulled my dress out of a magically large drawer. After what Mione had looked like, I doubted I would look any better. But I unzipped the back and then and there I had a flashback to the day me and Draco were at the mall. And top fell down. It was quite embarrassing. I zipped it back up. I then turned to the mirror. If you needed glasses but you left them at home so you were trying to see me. You might have thought I looked great. But I didn't need glasses. And so I saw the paleness of my skin and my light freckles. Nothing compared to what Mione looked like. I sighed. I was never going to be happy with the way I looked. I slid into my green heels. They were quite uncomfortable. And then I turned to my makeup container. It almost seemed dangerous. What if I messed up? Pishy didn't say anything about removing it. I didn't even know the spell to put it on. I stepped out. "Mione, I don't know the spell and these heels are going to be the cause of my broken neck." Hermione was too busy gawking. "You look stunning, Gin. I can't believe this but...green is your color." I laughed. And she added "here. I know a spell to steady those heels. There will be no broken necks. But you need the high heels if your going to be tall enough to kiss Draco. Filite." I made a fake scowl and pouted. "I'm tall enough. And I'm not going too." Hermione just rolled her eyes. "Wanna bet?" I didn't answer. "Elchèchisar" The makeup then floated out of the little box and onto my face. My hair magically twisted up in a fancy knot with little white roses embedded with the strands of hair. "Thanks." I took a deep breath. "I'm ready if you are." And off we went. Skipping, because our shoes were no longer trouble.
