Mione's POV

I marched onward, holding my nose all the way to charms. I slammed my books on the desk and punched "the standard book of spells." It slid off my desk and landed in my foot. I shouted in pain and kicked it away, still holding my nose. Someone came rushing around the corner. I spun around thinking it was Ron or a Slytherin, but it was just Neville. He looked surprised. "Uh...hello hermione...is everything alright?" I straightened and adjusted my ponytail. "Yes if course, why wouldn't it be?" He narrowed his eyebrows and pointed to my favorite charms textbook, that was bent and halfway across the room. I sighed. "I just...uh...tripped." He nodded, and turned to leave. He exited the room and I let out a sigh and dropped my shoulders and leaned against my desk once again. Then he suddenly poked his head around again. "The thing that happened at the Quidditch pitch wasn't your fault. Don't lose any sleep, or miss any meals over it. Ginny's just protective about her property." I was about to blabber away with relationship stuff concerning Draco and Ginny but he was already jogging shakily down the hall. I took a deep breath then slowly walked over to my crumpled textbook and laid it gently on the desk. People started to file in. Ginny's seat beside me stayed empty. My old instincts started to kick in. Where was she? Did Draco and her forget about time...I stopped my thoughts. Draco was blacked out. Thanks to me. And gin was in a very unhealthy condition. Ron rushed in, not taking his eyes off the floor. His eyes were puffy and his hands were shaking and gleaming with sweat. Harry took a seat next to him, immediately asking him questions. Ron just looked away shaking his head, and the professor hobbled into the room. "Now today we will be working on concentrating on spells. So no incidents happen about saying the wrong one." Everyone in the class seemed to glare. I put my head on the desk, holding back tears. I've tried to apologize. I've cried over it. I've visited Draco everyday. I don't know what else I could do to make the guilt go away. The professor assigned us each a partner. I got Luna. She smiled sadly at me. "Which spell should we do first?" I wiped my palms on my robes shrugging. She raised her eyebrows. "You always have a favorite." I sighed. "Um...how about a catching s-spell. I could use the practice." She sighed and rubbed my back slowly. "Draco's strong. He'll wake up before the end in the week. Don't worry." I nodded, and started practicing the spells.

We had potions next. Snape stormed into the room. The class was full except for Draco and Ginny's spots. I tried my best to putting one portion of my books on her side trying to make it not noticeable, but he noticed faster than he noticed Draco's desk that was in the middle of the class shining and empty. "Where's miss. Weasley?" Harry spoke up. "Um...she's not feeling well..." He was cut off though "well then you can deliver her detention slip and my forever get wells to her after class. Detention tonight. 11 sharp. And she is to attend this detention until further notice." I bit my lip but stood firmly. "I will fully let my grades suffer, and attend all detentions for her. She is not feeling well. It's my fault. I played a...prank on her..." Harry and Ron's mouths fell open. But I nodded firmly just to reassure myself. He glared, but slightly nodded. "You do fully understand the times of these detentions?" I nodded. "Yes, professor I understand you quite clearly." He twisted away and started scribbling away at the chalk board. I saw a flash of movement behind me, I turned to see Ginny, looking sickly, peering in the classroom. She looked a little surprised, but once her eyes landed on mine, she glared flipped me off and limped away. I sighed and turned to see Snape glaring directly at me, then shifting his eyes to Draco's empty chair. His gaze seemed to soften. His eyebrows dropped, and his mouth turned down in the corners. Then he looked away and it was gone. I continued writing my essay but Ron and Harry were too busy mumbling about bravery in general, and pointing at me. I didn't understand how detention could be that bad. The only bad one I've had was the one with Ginny and Draco, that ended up with them in a closet, making out. I smirked and crossed my cursive 'T's before moving to the next line. Blaise's eyes kept shifting back as well. He looked almost mockingly at the chair. And then smirked, before pressing a huge wad of gum on the surface. I scoffed in disgust, then did a non stick removal charm After he turned away, and instead carved 'glad you're back in class. -G.' Before standing up and turning in my paper.
