Hermione's POV
I ran down the halls, turned and running into numerous students. I muttered sorry and continued to sprint down the spiraling stairs leading to the dungeons. It started at eight, and I couldn't be late. "8pm sharp." Snape's words rang through my head as I checked my watch. 7:57...7:58....7:59!!! And bam, I burst through the door just as the clock struck eight. "You're late." Snape appeared behind me. I glared at him taking in his pitiful stance. I saw the thin lines on his neck where Nagini tried to kill him. I almost wish she had. Almost. I sighed a turned away and pulled a cleaning rag out of my bag. "What do you think you're doing Granger? Hmm?" He stared intently on me but I was going to get this done faster than he could imagine. "I presume you want me to polish you precious potion vials?" I responded making sure to spit a little on the "P's." He chortled. " No, no. Granger, you will be rewriting all of my recipes. I um...how do I put this? Dropped? Yes dropped. I 'dropped' them in the fire. You'll have to find original copy's too, I'm afraid." With that he turned and his bellowing cape follow him to the teachers desk. I slumped down into my chair and pulled out three quills. I picked the first, or the closest to me, and began flipping through old textbooks. I heard the door open and only until I heard footsteps did I look up from my work. Ginny Weasley and Draco Malfoy were holding hands. I snickered at their flushed faces. Ginny spoke up. "Professor, what exactly are we supposed to do?" I snickered louder making sure she could hear me. She glared and finally spoke. The waves of hatred slapped me in the face. I almost winced at the tone in her voice. "Well, Granger if you know the answer then why don't you share it." I smirked and dipped my quill into the ink pot. "Well, obviously your supposed to study. But the topic is just so... broad. It could be anything, really." I watched Ginny's face but it didn't change, but Malfoy's a turned a light shade of pink. I didn't mean it that way, but I suppose that works too. Snape arrived on the scene. "MissvGranger, I don't believe I told you to stop." I sighed and nodded, getting back to work. I was almost done with the first recipe. It's was a foot and a half long. I was making final touches now. Ginny and Draco started to walk by. They were still holding hands without knowing it, their fingers intertwined. I just shook my head. Ginny all of a sudden bumped my arm making me mark a huge line over the parchment and ripping it. My checks flushed and my eyes threatened to spill out tears. Malfoy nudged Ginny. He smirked and replied a short sweet reply. "Good one, Gin..." his accent was rich. Ginny looked up I saw her smiling too. I stared down at the paper instead. The parchment rip was huge, I couldn't fix it with magic. I let his words sink in and I realized just what he had said. "Ok, Ginny, good news. He likes you. He's already calling you Gin. He's as good as friends with you as I am. Or, at least, was."
I smirked at my comment. "Oh, Granger, would you shut it? I see your lips aren't puffy. Didn't have it yet? Oh...poor you." She smirked right back at me. My smile faltered when I saw Malfoy backing her up. I got an idea. "Oh by the way Malfoy...1. You are still holding hands with a 'blood traitor.' Oh, and 2She thinks your hair glows along with your eyes, and that she would love you to get inside her." I had really done it. Big time. Malfoy released her hand and turned crimson. Ginny how ever started to pale. She let tears fall down her cheeks. "M-mione..." she stormed off and ran into the potions closet. I felt bad. "Wait, Gin wait..." I started to run but the a wand got shoved against my throat. I swallowed and stood up straight to see Malfoy inches away from me. His eyes were surprisingly, but surly, dancing with fury. "It's one thing to call someone a blood traitor. Especially when she's higher than you. But...I know that's not true. You. Fucking. Suck." He wasn't going to scare me so easily. "Well, you swallow, so it's fair." He laughed. "Well, you choke, so there, Granger." I smiled evilly. "Well, at least I don't spit." That's when the fight began. "PROTEGO!" A sheilds form around me but Malfoy just advanced. He walked through the sheilds and stood there. "Sorry, but the sheild only protects you from magic, smart one." The famous Malfoy smirk was plastered on his face. "I always thought that you were the sort that hid behind spells. Sorry, I had to try." He suddenly lifted me up by my hair. I cried out in pain and winced. "BOM-BOMBARDO!" He was blown backwards and hit the cabinet with a thud. Snape rounded the corner. "Granger, stand up!" I did what he told me. I was scared for my life. How did I do this? I-I injured someone. Oh, dear. You're expelled. I was so afraid that I would hear those words from Snape, but all I heard was suspended over break. I was sent back to my dorm but I went past the dungeons to see if Malfoy was still there and sure enough he was just opening the closet door to talk to Ginny. What a coincidence...
