Hermione's POV
The following day was no classes. I was so relieved. I gasped, at myself thinking that. I've never not wanted classes to be out! Why would I think such a thing?! I groaned. Malfoy was rubbing off on me. Speaking of Malfoy, I left him and Ginny alone last night...I hope she doesn't show up with a one day old baby. I sighed. I should've made her come with me. Especially since she was drunk, really drunk. My hope lies with Draco, and that's not a place I usually feel comfortable leaving it. But, he loves gin. And surprisingly is very sensitive towards her. Making her write her essays, making sure she eats, he's not one of those lousy carefree boyfriends. He's the real deal. Parvati sat next to me in her bed. Combing through her hair. "So hermione...ready for my present to you?" I looked surprised. Not to be rude, but we never really talked. "Um...yeah...sorry I didn't get anything for you...I feel bad." She gasped. "No! No! No! Don't feel bad about me! It's an honor to give this to you." I swallowed. "Oh...ok?" She smiled and pulled out a golden sparkly box with a red ribbon tied around it. I generally love presents, but the way she was smiling made me a little uncomfortable. It was like the gift was just thousands of sharpies, to sign all her fan pages of me with. I untied to ribbon and set it in front of me. Then opened the package letting a small little trinket fall into my hands. "Oh...it's a...what is it?" She smiled wider. "It's a pigeon. I love their colorful feathers. So did lavender..." Then it clicked. She was super drunk. She had been getting wasted ever since lavender "sadly" died. I nodded. "Wow. It's gorgeous. Thank you." And with that I spring out of bed and rushed out the door. Ron and Harry were laughing by the fire with...Ginny. "Oh hello guys. I don't suppose you were going to go get me?" I said as I descended down the stairs. "Well last time we tried we slipped and fell on the steep slope your staircase turns into." Ron said. I rolled my eyes. "I was talking to Ginny!" He blushed. "Oh." Ginny giggled and wiggled her eyebrows. Ron shoved her and she shoved him right back. "Ok ok. Stop it! You too." She groaned. "Yes mother!!!" I scoffed. "That would be an awful to be your mother. I don't know how she does it." Ginny just rolled her eyes again and looked away. "Ok so...do we open gifts?" Harry asked. I nodded and winked at gin. She smiled back. "Yeah,
Me first!" Ron shouted and ran to the stack of presents like a little child. Which he basically was. He passed out his sloppily wrapped gifts to us three, than sat back down and asked me to go first. I swallowed, Ron's presents where always Quidditch related. I tore the wrapping, partly because it was hard to open, but it was already torn a little in that spot from Ron. I pulled the lid off and saw a book. "Volume five of Excerlades; journeys of science unknown." He smiled proudly and I couldn't help smiling. "Thank you. Better. Than last year." He then nodded to Harry who already had his half open. He untapped the remaining paper and stared at a new set of goggles with combed scales on the side. "Brilliant Ron!" Ron smirked. "Thank you, boy who lived!" The he nodded to gin who already had hers half open as well. It turned out to be candy, and new textbook, and a pair of skinny jeans. The Ron pulled out a bundle for each of us. "Christmas sweater time." He rolled his eyes as he slipped his maroon one over his bushy hair and freckled ears, and over his pajama shirt. next I went and gave every one candy and a book except for gin. She had already gotten her present from me. Harry raised his eyebrows. "It doesn't seem very like you, to get everyone but your best friend a present?" I just simply said. "I already gave her my present, it was and book and some candy as well." Ron nodded, but Harry still looked a little confused. Next Harry got up and handed out decorative bags, with changing color tissue. I pulled the tissue out gently and dumped the bag upside down. I had cauldron cakes, sugar quills, and a peculiar book. I flipped it over, it read "tips for regaining memories." I gasped and hugged Harry, tears coming to my eyes. "Harry...how did you even remember?!" He shrugged smiling. "Thank you, I really needed this." Harry nodded, "your welcome." Ron went next, he got new banners for our house, chocolate frogs, and a package of owl snacks to give to Pig. Then we
Watched as Ginny opened hers. The bag contained a Griffendore scarf, a buffet pass, and an old wooden box. Ron was teary but smiling. She unlatched the top, peering inside. A bunch of firecrackers and old candies were in there, along with a notebook. "I got up enough guts to go into their room. And picked these up for you, if you don't want them..."Ginny stood up and walked over to Ron. Knelt down, and threw her arms around him. "Thank you. Thank you both. I love it." Ron wiped his cheek with the back of his hand then squeezed her back. Harry touched my hand smiling sadly. I gave the same depressed smile back. "This was the first Christmas without him.." Ginny said after she released Ron. He nodded. "Mum...mum still made him a sweater." She nodded. "Is there any reason she would stop?" He sighed and gave a watery smile. "No, I suppose not." We all rubbed Ginny back and then moved on. Ginny handed out her presents, not enclosing mine. They were pretty basic but Ron loved the candy all the same. And Harry got a new set of ink vials. Which are expensive, especially this time of year. After presents were over, we decided to head down for breakfast, after we for dressed of course. For some reason Ginny had a smile on her face and I said. "What if I wasn't to mention it. Would you walk out of here with your nightclothes on?!" I shrugged giving her a confused look.Did you like it? Comment and vote and follow but please keep reading:)
