Ginny's POV
The next day classes started again. We went through the whole day talking about the gifts we got and Quidditch. We had our first practice tonight. I smirked, I was going to be better than Harry. In charms I blacked out, thinking of all the routines we would go through. And when I shook myself awake I saw that Harry and Ron were also daydreaming. You could practically see the brooms flying inside their minds. Draco...he got me the best broom that exists. I kept making scenarios in my mind; me saving someone from falling, double lapping the other players, flying so fast the Kepler only feels a rush of air as I score, me being- my thoughts were cut off my mr. Flitwick smacking my fingers with his wand. I winced and looked at him. "Yes professor?" He smiled, a little smugly and replied. "I'm sorry to interrupt your thoughts miss. Weasley, but I asked if you knew what spell to cast in order to start a fire." My brain was blank. "Um...Lumos?" Flitwick shook his head. "No miss. Weasley I'm afraid it is not that." The whole class laughed. "I'll give you three days to write a three foot long essay on what that spell is and what appropriate situations to use this spell would be." I slightly groaned but nodded. "Yes professor." After that I worked really hard to not slip out of focus in class, but Harry full out just slumped over asleep in potions, deducting 150 points from our house. Harry specifically was assigned detention tomorrow during free period. I smirked and threw paper at the back of his head once Snape turned his attention back to his cauldron. Next to me Seamus's potion exploded, making his face cringe as ash blew all over him. Snape groaned and threw him a towel. Making him clean up the mess by hand. "Mr. Finnigan, please do take your dearest care cleaning that area, or potter might have to miss today's try outs, eliminating Griffindore's team." Seamus swallowed and began to scrub for all he was worth.

When you think of people going to Quidditch practice you think of last years team and a few new people wanting to try out. But since this was the first Quidditch game in three years the whole Griffendore house came to the practice. Luna and cho came, and I could just see Draco sitting in the corner under the bleachers. He waved and winked and me. I kicked dirt on him. He laughed, but I could tell it got in his hair. Harry got right to it. "If you had a spot last season please step forward." Me, Ron, Seamus, Dean, and Mclaggen stepped two steps out of the line. There were cheers all around the pitch, mostly shout me and Ron's name but, it was the same either way. I grinned at the crowd. Then Harry called out again, "you all that have stepped forward can go get their personal brooms or borrow one from the school, the rest of you will go on with tryouts." All of the new kids nodded furiously, I snorted and nudged Ron as we jogged away to get our brooms. Mine spick and span with no air marks once so ever. Ron pulled out the broom Harry got him one year during school shopping, and I called for my broom which was still in the common room, using magic. Everyone else was digging in cupboards. Mclaggen seemed to have a firebolt, which was pretty impressive, but I just grinned, almost evilly at how much faster my broom would fly. We walked onto the pitch proudly, brooms in hand, when I heard a whizzing noise as a broom sipped through the air and landed on the ground in front of me. Everyone gasped, gawking literally. The whole crowd roused from their seats and stated in awe. I picked it up casually and looked at Harry,
Who was close to dropping his clipboard for instructions. "Who gave you that?!" He exclaimed. I laughed to myself, and replied with a smile. "Hermione." I get Draco's eyes in the corner and winked. He bit his lip and nodded once, smirking arrogantly. Harry looked at hermione with a look of half admiration and the other a killing glare for getting me one and not him. "So captain. Will I have to lead the practice or will you start to give orders." He rolled his eyes but called out. "We should finish tryouts so everyone from a latter team is automatically back on. Write your positions down on the clipboard, then go stand in a line by the first row of bleachers." Everyone nodded, and I saluted jokingly before writing
'head chaser, (the best)' on the clipboard in scrolly letters and running to catch up with Ron and Seamus. The both greeted me and started asking billions of questions about my broom. Draco was directly under up. He poked my leg, smirking through the wooden plank on the bench. He laughed at Ron's comment on "well, it couldn't have been that much." I thumped him on the head and kicked him in the knee. I heard him wince but chuckle.
