"Mama, me nervous. You see all those people out there!" Little Milani exclaimed as she looked out at the crowds of people, whom attended to the Parker Elementary School's Annual Talent Show.

Milani was just seven years old, one of the few competing against kids higher her grade, around the ages up to her age to sixteen, seventeen. The talent show was filled with nothing but middle and high schoolers, only about 12 elementary kids had the bigger guts to sign up.

"You're gonna rock this, okay Lani? Don't worry about the people out there. You go out there, give it all like its just you, me, Daddy, and sissy. Alright?" Marie said as she fixed Milani's fluffy curly hair.

"Malcom too?" She asked, adverting her eyes towards Malcom, Marie's current lover, looking over at the two girls. Marie sent Malcom a soft smile before adverting her eyes back to her daughter. "Yes, baby . . Malcom too."

"And our final singer of the night, regarding the elementary kids . . give it up for miss Milani Haynes!" The teacher announced, claps and cheers could be heard from behind the curtains. Milani instantly froze, no longer wanting to walk out to the front. She looked at her mother, shaking her head. "C'mon Milani, you can do it." She encouraged.

Malcom walked over to the two girls, grabbing Milani's little hand before guiding her over to the front of the stage. He whispered, "I'll be right by the piano playing for you, if you get nervous . . look over at me." He said before he walked over to the piano, pressing random keys to place the piano into the right tone.

"When I think of home, I think of a place
where there's love overflowing, I wish I was home.
I wish I was back there with the things I been knowing."

Her eyes were shut close, as she held the microphone that was almost as big as her head and held it closely to her mouth. The heated, bright spotlight shined over her little face, the audience taking in how young she was, with the most beautiful features a little girl could have.

"Suddenly my world's gone, and changed its face
But I still know where I'm going.
I have had my mind spun around in space
and yet I've watched it growing."

Diana Ross's 'Home' was the song Milani was currently singing. Ever since the film ' The Wiz ' was released in 1978, Milani grew the uttermost comfortable with it. Not just because she absolutely adored Michael and Diana, but because she was deeply in love with the music.
