THE NEW YEAR OF NINETEEN ninety three was brought with nothing but pure positive energy for Milani and her loved ones. She and DeVanté were back on a great track within their relationship, and were on the verge of completing Milani's sophomore album.

Andre and Puffy managed to give her a rest while she grieved for her child, in her home with DeVanté, but they hadn't known she was working on music the entire time. It was the only way she could cope with the pain and such loss of her baby, as well as DeVanté.

Menace II Society was also on the verge of being complete, the production had paused the entire film making for a month straight so that Milani could come back better than ever. Just as she thought that they'd continue on with the filming without her, they hadn't.

Even though, she had felt like the Hughes Brothers had a ill feeling towards her due to what had transpired with Tupac just a little over six months ago. And she felt the disliking had grown even more when Tupac had assaulted Allen Hughes while on set for a music video. Milani hadn't known of this situation up until now when Tyrin had told her.

"And uh, to all the ladies havin' babies on they own, I know it's tough and you feelin' all alone. Daddy's long gone and he left you by your lonesome. Thank the lord for my kids, even if somebody else want 'em."

Milani watched as Tupac rapped his verses for a new song he wanted Milani to produce, Keep Ya Head Up. The song was dedicated to his godson, Elijah, Corin Way — who was the daughter of Salt from the female group, Salt-N-Pepa and Latashia Harlins. The song also carried a deep explanation to issues concerning lack of respect towards the female gender, particularly poor black women.

"Lower the backtracking vocals of Dave." She instructed to the engineer sitting beside her. He nodded before doing what was told to him, and Milani continued to nod her head along with Tupac's inspiring rhymes.

"And now my sons' gettin' older and older and cold from the world on his shoulders. While the rich kid is drivin' Benz, I'm still tryin' to hold on to survivin' friends, and it's crazy, it seems it'll never let up."

"But, huh, please, you got to keep ya head up."

"That was amazing, Pac! Wow." Milani commented as he placed the headphones off his head. A big smile crept upon his face, showing up off his beautiful pearly whites. It was another thing that everyone admired about him, beside his amazing raps, encouraging words, inspiring poems, breath taking roles, and those eyelashes he carried on his eyelids.
