"ON BEHALF OF THE Coleman family, I would like to start by thanking everyone that is here today and for those who sent their condolences. We have received countless phone calls, letters, flowers, visits, your thoughts and prayers. They have been both comforting throughout this difficult time that my family and I are in. I have been reminded of the impact that Kennedy had on so many others around her." Kennedy's older sister, Kendra began to say, reading over her eulogy.

Milani stood beside her, looking down at the ground as she held onto her hand, securely for the sake of both of their comforts. The day was gloomy, dull, cloudy and pouring down heavy rain. So heavy, the road could be flooded within the next couple hours.

"Kennedy, she leaves such a emptiness in the hearts of all of us who loved her, many who were her friends, and even more who just had a glimmer of her through the family. It's cliché, but Kennedy was truly beautiful inside and out. You could feel her energy when she was near. She was twenty two years old — bubbly, outgoing, vivacious, funny, silly at most times and just like no other. She wanted to try all new things and was not afraid. Kennedy enjoyed the life and was eager to taste all that it offered her."

"As we began to wrap up my little sister's memorial service, I'd like to welcome to the stage, one of Kennedy's bestest of friends as well as her childhood best friend, her sister from another mister, her soulmate best friend, Milani Haynes and Boyz II Men. Thank you." She nodded her head to the crowd, sending them a soft smile before walking off the podium.

Milani had let go of her hand, walking over to the podium to take over. She sighed, looking ahead of the crowd, realizing how many people who truly adored and admired the sweet soul she spent her entire life with.

She felt a pair of a hand wrap around hers, giving her a light squeeze. Milani looked to the side of her, seeing Wayna softly smiling her way. She returned the favor, turning around to cue the band to began to play the soft beat.

"Sorry I never told you, all I wanted to say . . but now it's too late to hold you. 'Cause you flown away, so far away-ay-ay."

Milani closed her eyes, attempted to fight back the tears that were soon threatened to be spilled. She hated events like these, she hated hearing about them, she hated attending them. She wanted to believe that everything was a dream, that she'd see her later tonight while they talked each other's ear off at Olive Garden or even just ordered take out from In-N-Out with Milani's daughters.
