Chapter 15: True Feelings

Naomi's POV

It is Friday last day of school before vacation. I am so excited, I get to hang out with Kano and Zach all week! I wonder what they would want for Christmas... Hmmm.. Anyway I shouldn't be think about these things... I have to pay attention I have to finish this break assignment in class so I don't have to do it over vacation.

A few minutes later...

"Annnnnnnd done!" I say as I finish the last question on the paper and hold it up. I put it away in my bag and then look out the window.

"Are you done?" Samantha asked.

"Huh? Oh I am done." I say as I look in her direction.

"Can I copy it?" She asks with her hand stretched out.

"Um... No you can't. You have to do your own work so you can learn." I say as I defend my work and myself.

"Aww come on please for a friend?" She say as she makes a pouting face.

"I said no" I stick to my belief. I turn back to the window and day dream a little.

I feel my bag moving against my leg and I turn around to see Samantha leaning over and going through my bag.

"Samantha!" I whisper not trying to distract the class. I also grab her hand making her stop.

"Really?! Just let my copy. You bookworm geek!" She whispers at me still trying to get my paper.

I look at her and say "Wrong move."

She looks up at me in confusion and then looks away and keeps looking though my bag. I silently raise my hand to alert the teacher. Samantha still looking through my bag doesn't notice. The teacher walks over and says "What is the problem Naomi?"

"Samantha wants to copy my break assignment I worked on for the last hour on." I say as I look at the Samantha and then at the teacher.

"Oh is that true Samantha?" He says as his attention turn to her. She is frozen in place with her hand still in my bag.

She quickly pulls her hand out and says "I was... Was just looking for my phone! Yeah that's it she took it from me and I wanted it back!" She says as she leans back in her chair.

"That is not true Samantha!" I say and then I notice a phone charm inside her desk and then I continue "So Samantha if I took your phone and you were looking for it then what is that?" I say as I point to an Iphone in her desk.

She goes from confident to absolute shock. She clenched her fist and teeth in anger at me.

"Samantha you will need to come with me to the office." The teacher say as he walks to the front of the room.

Samantha gets up and looks at me and says "You will pay for this."

"Okay." I says as I push off the statement.

The bell rings signaling lunch and I go find Zach and Kano but before I find them I run into Gretchen who was apparently looking for me.

"Naomi, why didn't you just let her copy?" She says obviously worried.

"What do you mean?" I say confused.

"What I mean is she is going to get back at you now not for not just letting her copy but also for telling the teacher about her copying. Prepare yourself." She says as she leans in close.
