When the day ended I walked across the grass towards my car while the rain soaked grass attempted to put water spots on my shoes.

My car now will have to be rinsed and dried when I get home.

Getting to the car I unlocked the doors and went to the trunk before putting the umbrella in the back before going to the driver side door and looked over at Sav who was walking towards me as if she owned the world.

"Savannah" I greet and she just smiled before stopping next to my car.

"Adrian" she replies.

"I take it you want me to drive you home" I mutter.

"Yes".

"Alright, get in the car" I say pulling open my door and getting in before starting the vehicle.

When she got in Sav quickly dropped her bag in the footwell, before buckling her seat as I backed out of the parking spot and drove off towards the gates.

I hadn't expected to be driving Sav home though at this point I should, the only real problem was it occasionally took me in the opposite way that I wanted to go but today it wasn't.

"The big house today unfortunately my driver couldn't come get me" she explains while adjusting her makeup using the mirror on a blush palette.

"That's fine I wanted to go for a drive today anyways, gives me time to clear my mind".

"Something about driving do that for you?" she asks.

"Pretty much, I've always found long drives calming. I also didn't get to go on many long trips as a kid so when I did I loved every second of it, and wasn't the kind of kid to ask 'are we there yet' every five bloody minutes" I smirk setting my head against my hand.

"I can see that somehow" Sav admits before I connect my phone to the car's speakers and find a song before turning up the volume.

The drive through the suburban areas of New York as I drove North was actually rather peaceful to me.

"Can I come with you to wherever you're going?" Sav asks, and I mentally began mulling it over in my head.

"Sure why not" I reply and she smiles for a split second, before returning her gaze to the now thickening trees.

It was very fascinating how after you got about fifty miles out of Central New York it was nothing but trees and exclusive land that other people with money raced to snatch up.

I felt bad for many of the people that simply wished to own land but to do that here it would take a fucking miracle because places like Hudson Lake exist where land is hella expensive.

"Where are we going exactly?" Sav asks and I just smirked.

"There is an old park supposedly out here and I want to go to it" I say as the leaves around us faded into shades of brown, red, and yellow.

Nearly twenty minutes later I spotted a short pull out and slowed off of instinct saying this was it, and when I rounded the corner to find a small parking lot that appeared to have been recently covered in gravel I slowed and carefully parked the luxury SUV along the wood beam fence.

"Time to explore" I muse opening the door and getting out of the car same as Sav before I locked it and waited for her to join me before we walked towards what looked like a well worn path.

The path itself was dirt but it looked like it had been used continually, likely by animals that lived way out here.

Probably deer or something.
