I couldn't believe I was doing this. For one my house in Brooklyn was completed before I expected but nothing ever went to plan with construction, it was just how it was.

And for two I was going to allow Sav the ability to see my home I had designed it in a bit more of a welcoming pattern with wood tones added with the grey and black I typically was associated with.

She sat in the passenger seat of my R8 as we passed through the streets of Brooklyn where snow swirled around us.

It was the second blizzard in a month, and I was honestly looking forward to the actual break in North Finchley.

Being away from people was something peaceful to me and meant I could get time alone away from the perception people expected.

Spotting my townhouse I slowed and pulled up to the garage before using the electronic opener on the ceiling to get in.

I then found its spot along the line of vehicles and parked the car in its spot.

"This I'm guessing was all custom?" Sav asks seeming in awe as I shut off the engine.

"Yes it is" I say deciding it best to ignore that I designed the renovation.

Getting out of the car we walked into a downstairs lounge area that included a bathroom on the front side of the basement level. Walking upstairs however it was clear where differences were as black vinyl wood flooring covered the entire townhouse with wooden square beams in the ceiling along with marble counter tops and soft grey tones in the living room to make the place seem more welcoming but still clearly in the style that I preferred to live around.

"I think this is incredible Sav says as she walks around the place, and I honestly believe that it's the first time she has diverted from the confidence she normally puts out.

"It's functional, it was supposed to be more intimate of a space rather then like a fucking art gallery" I scoff dropping the key back in it's place before walking into the living room and sitting down in view of the backyard that was fenced and had a firepit built so that should the boys ever come over we could all possibly have a night together.

"Why would it look like an art gallery, I actually like the more traditional elements this place has" she says walking into the kitchen, and humming before turning to me.

"Glasses where are they?".

"Corner cabinet" I say gesturing to it, and she thanks me before taking out a glass and filling it with water and ice before coming to join me.

"So why all did you bring me here?".

"I wanted you to see my home, the one I'll be living in away from the chaos of Manhattan" I reply, though I didn't want her to know that I had a home in Waccabuc, or in the Hamptons or UK.

I liked my privacy and I couldn't be faulted for something that I preferred and few more comfortable with.

I also had no wish to truly express how much money I had access to.

"Yeah it can be kinda chaotic can't it" she sighs watching me carefully over her glass, and I had noticed it over time. Sav was a very analytical person and considering her parents business was heavily based on very intense business practice I wasn't at all surprised that she had begun the sort of careful focus that came from a family that competed with others for business control.

Unlike the sleeping giant that I would be inheriting in just over two years.

"Yeah, Hunter lives two buildings down and I don't want to have to listen to him come home at around two in the morning every bloody night without fail".
