Or the time he ordered six pairs of new shoes in the span of thirty minutes. Letting a stranger move into his home had to top everything else.
Of course, Mason had a sit-down with Y/N. Before she could move into his house, he wanted to know more about her. He wanted to make sure that he was making the right choice.
That's why the two of them sat in a quaint pub a couple of minutes down the road from the training center on Friday that same week. Mason always like the quiet aura that the place created, the small pub and its beautiful aroma attracted him and have kept him close ever since. It was his favorite place to go after an intense day of training.
They sat outside in the garden for a little more privacy. Mason sat across from the girl, watching her as she looked down at the menu in front of her.
Mason looked away and pretended to admire the view when she glanced up at him.
Y/N eyed him before clearing her throat, making the football player turn to face her.
"What do you recommend?" She smiled, trying to drum up a conversation between them. Mason smiled, looking down at his menu.
"I normally get the smoked salmon," He shrugged, feeling nervous suddenly.
The girl hummed and peered at the menu as the server approached the table. He looked at Y/N briefly before glancing over at Mason, who he instantly recognized.
"Are you ready to order?"
"Can I please have the smoked salmon?" Y/N asked. The slight gesture of getting what Mason recommended warmed the boy's heart a bit.
"And for you, sir?" The server nodded, turning to look at the soccer player across from him.
"I'll take the fish and chips," Mason spoke, handing the menu back to the waiter. The employee nodded and left the two alone. Mason took a sip of the pint of beer that he ordered earlier. He swiped the top of his lip after he took a sip, cleaning his lips of beer froth.
"You know, I'm surprised we've never met before, Y/N," Mason remarked as the girl shrugged.
"It seems like Christian has been hiding you this whole time," He joked, a blush falling on Y/N's cheeks. It was true, none of the guys, but Christian knew of Y/N, so it came as a shock when he brought up her name.
