"𝐇𝐎𝐖 𝐈𝐒 𝐈𝐓 𝐖𝐈𝐓𝐇 𝐘/𝐍?" Christian spoke up as he approached Mason, who was lying down on the grass. Mason shrugged and smiled at Christian, straightening his legs before leaning forward and grabbing his ankles, and stretching.

"It's fine. I think she's still getting used to living with a stranger," he said. "So am I, I guess. I haven't lived with another girl other than my sister in a while."

When the weekend rolled around, Mason was up bright and early, ready to help Y/N move into her new home.

As she was walking in, Mason held the door open while the girl carried a box of her things inside. He noticed as she struggled a bit, wondering if he should step in and help.

"Are you sure you don't want any help?" As he watched her place a box on the ground, his eyebrow raised in concern.

"No, no. I just have one more box and then I'm done." Y/N waved off, smiling before walking out the front door to grab the last of her things.

She was grateful for packing light and not wanting to be a burden, and she wanted to make a lasting impression on Mason. The last thing she needed was for her to clog up his personal space with her junk.

"When are you planning on shopping?" He asked her. He remembered their conversation from earlier, knowing that she wanted to go furniture shopping for more things. She shrugged in response. "I'm off Friday, so probably then. Why?"

"Can I come?"

Her eyes widened at the question. She wasn't expecting him to want to spend time with her, let alone go furniture shopping with her. She smiled and nodded her head.

"Sure!"

"But she's okay?" Christian asked, worried about her friend.

"Yeah, she's about to paint her room. Green, I think."

"Sounds like her," Christian chuckled, shaking his head at the thought of what Y/N's bedroom could potentially look like. It had always been her favorite color. Christian didn't know why, but the girl had a soft spot for a nice shade of green.

"I can't thank you enough," Christian responded. Mason shook off his teammate.

"Chris. It's fine, seriously. You don't have to thank me." He grinned, not wanting his friend to feel like he had to show his gratitude. Mason was always a nice person. He never minded doing a favor for someone else. And besides, Y/N was nice.
