"𝐁𝐎𝐘𝐒, 𝐋𝐄𝐓'𝐒 𝐇𝐄𝐀𝐃 𝐎𝐔𝐓." The coach bus stopped, and the team began to gather their things. Mason took off his headphones, placing them around his neck when he noticed Christian walking up to him.
"Hey, Mase," Chris said, talking to his teammate. "How was the party?"
"Oh, fun, I guess." Mason shrugged, recalling the mess of events from two nights ago. Chris eyed his friend weirdly, noticing the convincing act he was trying to play.
"Did Ben get Y/N drunk?" Chris assumed, thinking about Ben's plans with the girl in Mason's kitchen two days ago.
Mason let out a sigh before rubbing his forehead, thinking about everything that happened that night.
"Yes, he's banned from my house indefinitely," Mason grumbled, pulling his backpack straps onto his shoulders. Chris chuckled from behind him, knowing Mason was being overdramatic. Along with the rest of the team, he followed the midfielder out of the coach. As they were walking across the tarmac, Mason gave Chris a quick description of everything that happened. Including Clarke's suspicious behavior.
As Mason got onto the private jet, he noticed his teammate sitting beside his usual seat.
Mason said, "Ben," with a small smile on his face. He was still iffy about what Ben did two nights ago, but Y/N was right. Ben was his friend, and there was no use in arguing with him anymore. No serious harm was done; all is forgiven.
Ben looked up from his phone and smiled, seeing his best friend standing in the aisle.
"Hey Mase," he spoke, watching as his friend placed his things in the overhead compartment. Ben watched Mason take his seat, getting comfortable for the plane ride. It would only be about two hours until they reached Milan. As he zipped up his suitcase, his phone rang.
"Hey, Mason," Y/N said through the speaker.
"Y/N, hey! You alright?" Mason spoke on the phone, catching Ben's attention.
"I just wanted to wish you a safe flight. I forgot to say it before you left." The girl explained.
The phone call was kind of abrupt. Y/N didn't really know what she was expecting from this phone call; so she was a bit at a loss for words.
"Thanks, Y/N," Mason replied, smiling at her thoughtfulness. "I appreciate it."
There was a pause on the other end of the line.
