𝐓𝐖𝐎 𝐖𝐄𝐄𝐊𝐒 𝐇𝐀𝐃 𝐏𝐀𝐒𝐒𝐄𝐃 𝐒𝐈𝐍𝐂𝐄 𝐘/𝐍'𝐒 𝐃𝐄𝐏𝐀𝐑𝐓𝐔𝐑𝐄 𝐅𝐎𝐑 𝐐𝐀𝐓𝐀𝐑, and now she finally found herself back at work. As she walked through the familiar hallways of the training ground, her footsteps echoed in the emptiness.
The usually bustling atmosphere felt strangely subdued and empty, a direct consequence of the senior team's absence in Abu Dhabi, accompanied by the absence of several other colleagues on international duty.
Nevertheless, Y/N was determined to resume her routine and greeted a few coworkers along the way, their smiles acknowledging her return. As she reached the locker room, she carefully hung up her back and swiftly tied on her kitchen apron, preparing for her duties.
Soon she made her way into the canteen, hoping to sit down for a bit with a cup of tea.
Y/N sat down in the canteen, where a couple of her coworkers were already preparing meals for the academy team. She hummed to herself and walked over to the self-serve station. Y/N reached for the electric kettle, its familiar weight providing a sense of grounding.
She filled it with water, the cool stream cascading into the metal vessel, and placed it back on the heating plate.
While the water began to heat up, Y/N grabbed a disposable cup along with a black tea bag.
As the kettle began to whistle, signaling that the water had reached its boiling point, Y/N swiftly poured the hot water into her cup, watching as the liquid transformed into a golden hue, embracing the calming properties of the herbal blend.
Leaving the tea to steep for a few minutes, Y/N took a moment to pour a bit of milk into her cup, mixing it slightly. She pulled out the tea bag and took a sip, the beverage warming her up.
The girl took a seat at one of the tables, drinking her tea as he glanced out the large windows that looked out to the practice fields.
It was very quiet.
"Y/N!"
Turning around, Y/N's face immediately displayed a hint of annoyance, though it seemed that Robyn, as usual, remained blissfully unaware. With a subtle sigh, she plastered on a forced smile and greeted her.
"Oh, hey, Robyn," she said through gritted teeth, her forced politeness contrasting with her underlying irritation.
Robyn plopped down on the opposite side of Y/N, seemingly undeterred by her colleague's less-than-enthusiastic reception. Instead of maintaining a friendly demeanor, however, Robyn's expression turned smug, a knowing smirk playing at the corners of her lips.
