(*Sorry for the slow update guys, my old laptop decided to break on me so I've been without one for a while, just recently got a new one to write and hopefully use when I go back to school.
Also, the title is totally not a gestured towards HSR's recent quest, RIP my goats...
And Happy Thanksgiving to those that celebrate it!)
~(Wanderer)~
To think him coming to her rescue would result in a vision was one surprise he didn't expect, but the other one was his past name being called, by someone who shouldn't remember it any less. (Y/N) hasn't said a word to him ever since the two arrived in the cave, they were just near the entrance to get away from the scene, but this silence felt like they were deep inside the cavern.
He eyed his vision that was engulfed in his palm. He hadn't dared let go of it in fear it was just an illusion. Gaining something that was recognized by the gods was something he never expected to achieve, but with this new-found power, maybe he could protect her better with it.
The vision was so tightly gripped, it started to make an indent in his soft skin, and he quickly unclutched it before finding a special place to hang it at. (Wanderer) figured it would look nice dangling near his "heart" alongside the feather he held from his birth.
Focusing back on the situation at hand, he glanced over to (Y/N) who just called out the name 'Scaramouche'. She was looking at him curiously like she was waiting for him to respond. Not that the name she called out was his to answer, but he figured it would do him good to entertain her for a while as she regains her memories.
"You haven't called me by that name in a while." He spoke softly, reminiscing back on their time together.
"So, your name is Scaramouche?"
"If that's what you want to call me, then so be it."
"Well — I just suddenly remembered his name... my fiancé's, that is. That'll be you then?" she asked, sounding somewhat eager.
He could only chuckle at her question, who else would take the time out of their life to rescue this woman but her own fiancé? Sometimes she could ask such dumb questions, but he signed up for this life. No regrets now.
"You'd be correct, (Y/N)."
She stared at him, mouth agape like he had just told her she was a lost princess from a ruined kingdom. She quickly shook her head and stayed silent like she was thinking about something. Whatever it was, he couldn't read it.
"What's wrong? Disappointed that your fiancé turned out to be me?"
"No- I- That's not what I meant. Sorry, I was just so surprised that the man I've been looking for was always so close by."
"Tch, should I have made myself harder to find?"
"Of course not! Not only did you rescue me from those pesky monsters, but you also even helped me catch that thief a few days ago."
"Do I get a reward for being so good to you then?"
"A reward? Well if it's in my abilities, then sure, why not?"
He stepped closer to her and made eye contact, gazing over her soft-looking eyes as he held her chin up. (Y/N) left out a small breath as she looked into his eyes. He held her waist as he closed the distance between them, hovering his lips over hers.
Her eyes widened, and she tried to push him away, but her strength was nearly gone from the fight earlier that it felt like a baby was pushing him. "What are yo-?!"
