The group finally reached the isolated town, or what they assumed to isolated, since the explosion was meant to kill the zombies. Empty houses covering through streets as they glanced around.

"Are we safe?" Hyo-ryung asked quietly.

"I hope so." Mi-jin spoke. "We better be." She added.

The group continued to walk down the street at the moment as they stopped when they heard shuffling inside one of the buildings and moved away.

Mi-sun moved to the front of them as she unsheathed her katana. Being tired but willing to help the group any way she could.

Cheong-san standing by her side as he wouldn't let her just put herself in danger after they had made it so far from the school and zombies.

Mi-sun swallowed quietly as she glanced at the building entrance as they quietly moved away to pass by without alarming whatever was inside.

The door soon burst open as they were met with two guns aimed at them as they ducked.

"Don't shoot! We're not zombies!" Cheong-san spoke up as he covered Mi-sun.

Dae-su covering over hyo-ryung and on-jo while woo-jin covered his sister and mi-jin. Su-hyeok covering over nam-ra.

The two people put their guns down as they examined the group. "They're kids." A woman spoke.

"Get up." The man spoke up.

Hesitant the group got up slowly with their hands raised as theu slowly glanced at the two.

Mi-sun raised her head as she was quietly shocked to see who it was.

Jin Dae-seong and Jin Sung-min were shocked as they lowered their guard a bit. "Mi-sun?"

Mi-sun walked over slowly before hugging the two as she didn't want to let go at all. "Mom. Dad." She spoke.

"How are you.. how did you guys make it out? We were on our way to help."

"Grandpa came to help out." Mi-sun spoke

"Where is he?" Sung-min spoke.

"He.. he didn't make it." Dae-su spoke up. "He sacrificed himself so that we could escape."

Sung-min was shocked to hear as Dae-seong held her in a comforting hug. Knowing that they couldn't have avoided it.

"U-um mom, dad. These are my friends. Dae-su, Mi-jin, Ha-ri, Woo-jin, Hyo-ryung, On-jo, Su-hyeok, my bedt friend Nam-ra, and my boyfriend Cheong-san.." Mi-sun spoke as she glanced at them.

"Boyfriend?!" Dae-seong asked as he glanced at the two of them.

"H-hello. Nice to meet you." Cheong-san spoke shyly with a hint of nervousness at meeting them. Especially when they were intimidating to him.

"Nice to meet you." Sung-min spoke as she smiled.

The air was filled with smoke as the houses seemed empty and like nothing was living in them anymore.

Nam-ra listened to them as she stayed with Su-hyeok before glancing at the side.

"Something wrong?" Su-hyeok asked.

"We're surrounded." Nam-ra spoke up. "They're coming this way."

"How does she know that?" Dae-seong spoke up as he glanced at her.

"Long story short she's a mutation of the virus but she won't harm you. If is she's right we need to go." Mi-sun spoke. "And she's never wrong."

From the smoke appeared zombies as they charged at the group. Running at them and trying to get their hands on them.

"Run that way!" Ha-ri spoke as she took a left and ushered them down an alley way as they bolted for their lives. They had no weapons on them other than the Jin family. Ha-ri continued to run as Woo-jin stopped when they found a store and grabbed their own weapons. Making sure to grab protection to keep them off for as long as they could.

Dae-su ignored the pain in his leg for the moment as he kept the group together. Watching the zombies run at them as he swallowed. Keeping a toght hold on the shovel the store had. Keeping his guard up as he heard the zombies running at them.

With the last bit of adrenaline in them the group began to fight back and shove the zombies away. Fighting back quietly at the moment as they stood as a team.

Two shots rang out as Dae-seong and Sung-min shot down a zombie and waited shot. Sometimes missing a few shots as they fired.

Dae-su fought a zombie back as he was alone. Being cornered. Dae-seong noticed as he walked over and pulled the zombie off him and onto the floor. "You okay kid?"

Dae-su nodded as he caught his breath.

Dae-seong nodded as he soon reloaded before yelling when the zombie bit into his ankle.

Sung-min got distracted by the yell from her husband as she got grabbed and bit in the arm as she yelled a bit. Grabbing her gun as she shot the zombie down and off her walking over as she shot the zombie from her husband's leg as he panted.

Woo-jin yelled when he was bit as ha-ri yelled at having to watch her own brother die protecting her.

Cheong-san and Mi-sun ran over as the worked to move the zombie off him before Mi-sun stabbed it's head and watched as Woo-jin made talk with his sister one last time.

Ha-ri didn't want them to kill him but Nam-ra finished him off the moment he was about to bite them and knew ha-ri wouldn't like it as she moved away.

Mi-sun walked to her parents. "Mom. Dad."

"Go.." Dae-seong spoke. "We don't have much time. Go back to base. You'll be safe there. T-tell them we send you." He spoke as he tried to fight the virus but couldn't. "Go!"

"Sorry Mi-sun.. live a long life." Sung-min spoke as she smiled sadly. Wiping the tears away as she aimed at Dae-seong and Dae-seong aimed at her.

"Until death.." Sung-min spoke.

"..Do us apart." Dae-seong spoke

Mi-sun noticed what they were doing as she tried to stop them before hearing the shots ring out. Her parents laying together as their hands stayed connected.

An image that would stick with her for as long as possible.
