Chapter 17: Regret

Team: BLEH

Lollipop was going to see if anybody was on their territory.

*Sigh* "Everything's so boring around here..."

Lollipop was in the kitchen, eating a berry salad. She was always the first one up, so the room was completely quiet. She decided it was time for checking up. She went into her room with the white ball in hand. She closed her eyes, imagining the room. After 45 seconds, she opened them. Lollipop was in a small, blue room that had digital files floating around. She called for a map on their territory and looked. It seemed like the usual, nobody, but then there was a weird, question mark on their border. Confused, she tapped on it. It was Blocky? But he was teleporting and approaching fast to their base. Worried, she left the room and called her teammates to the room. 

"Team, Blocky is coming here, and I don't think he's here with good news... So, we should leave immediately, before he can do anything."

She looked around at her teammates, they all seemed good with the plan. Except for Book and Taco. They weren't looking at her and were more focused on each other. Taco had a distressed look, and Book was concerned. 

"Book! Taco! Are you guys ok with it?"

No response. Getting annoyed, she walked over to them. Lollipop looked down at them and asked,

"Can you guys hear me? What did we plan to do?"

They were whispering to each other, and then Taco looked at her confidently.

"I'm staying here Lollipop. I need answers."

"Are you serious? What answers do you think await you with him? He could be coming to kill you!"

Taco didn't look at her. She knew more than what she was letting on. Lollipop knew this and continued to pry. 

"What are you hiding? You did seem different when we found you..."

This got her defensive. Taco knew that she couldn't share this with them. They would call her a traitor for spending time with an enemy contestant. 

"Nothing that concerns you Lollipop!"

"Oh? But it does concern me dear Taco, for you are my teammate. And as the team leader, I need to know what's going on with you."

"Please, we both know you just want it out of curiosity!"

Lollipop glared at her. Why was she acting so protective? And why couldn't she tell the team what was wrong? Now that she thought of it, on the "A Better Name Than That" map, Blocky was marked as deceased. However, he was rapidly approaching them too. Does this mean, he too escaped? She probably wants to know how he escaped, but she wouldn't want to risk this much just for that no? Come to think about it, when she asked about other escapees, Taco went rather pale and nervous. That must be it! They escaped together, didn't they? Lollipop knew that the two had a friendship after the split. So why would she try to hide it? After thinking, she faced Taco with a questioning look.

"Taco, it's because you and Blocky escaped together, right? That's why you want to see him?"

Taco's mouth opened in disbelief, and Lollipop grinned. She hit the nail right on the head. Book looked at her in shock. Taco DID escape with somebody else, and she hid it from them! Why did she hide it? She had survived on the edge of their border, maybe with him? Did she abandon them to survive with Blocky?! But then why did she go with them when they found her? Did something happen between the two? What exactly happened when they were separated? She didn't care, just that Taco abandoned them again. 

"You traitor! I thought you moved on from abandoning us, but you did it again!"

"Book calm down-"

"No! Listen to me, guys. She abandoned us for him! She shouldn't be here!"
