Chapter 12: Loss for Everybody

Team: A Better Name Than That!

After 3 days of regrouping, they came up with a plan. They decided to try and create devices to support them. They wanted to make a food creating bot when they saw something surprising. 

"Guys! Look!"

"What is it Grassy?"

Basketball looked in the direction of his pointing. She saw the map, and Blocky. He was somehow alive! But how? She clearly saw that he died. That wasn't the end of it. His health was slowly going down. She told the group this and they decided to get him. However, they also agreed to wait a little bit to prepare to get him. Basketball and Grassy didn't, however. Basketball yelled,

"But he's dying! Look at his health. We need to get him right away."

"Yeah! Grassy agrees!"

However, the other 3 said it was risky, and that it would take 4 hours. After a lot of squabbling, finally they decided to wait. 

Golf Ball was just waking up when she heard a scream. Alert now, she ran to the main room, wondering what could be wrong. She stopped at the entrance, looking at the screen. Her mouth was opened in shock. Blocky's avatar was no longer deemed as alive. It was a deceased symbol, but also had a question mark at the end. Basketball was with Grassy in front of the screen, both angry and solemn. They looked at Golf Ball, and she backed away scared. They started to scream at her.

"This is all your and the others' fault! If we had gone yesterday, he might be alive right now!"

"Listen Basketball-"

"NO! YOU LISTEN GOLF BALL! Me and Grassy are leaving, without the rest of them team."

'Wha- That's stupid! You are going to die out there."

"I don't care. It's better than staying in here with you murderers."

"WE DIDN'T MURDER BLOCKY! He died on his own circumstances. We had nothing to do with it."

"Yeah, but if you weren't so lazy, he could be standing here right now."

"It wasn't being lazy; we could've risked everyone's lives out there."

Everybody turned to look at who talked. It was 8-ball. He was standing in the doorway, with an unsatisfied look on his face. 

"I thought you were more rational Basketball."

"But-You guys-"

She was at a loss of words, she truly respected 8-ball, and didn't have any words to contradict him. Realizing this, he started talking again.

"Now, don't plan on leaving. GB is right, it's a death sentence to just go out of pettiness."

"...I guess you're right."

She whispered to Grassy, and he took all their stuff away. She started at Golf Ball with a look of contempt and sighed. 

"It's just... We could've stopped it you know. If we got there in time."

8-ball had a look of pity and rolled over to her and gave her a nudge (Supposed to be a hug but no arms!). 

"I know, but we would risk too much."

Tennis Ball woke up and noticed the feeling in the room. Confused, he asked,

"Umm, is everybody ok?"

Everyone looked at him and looked away. They didn't want to explain it. Golf Ball pointed to her tracker, and he looked. He saw what happened and said,

"Oh, well..."

He became incoherent, and everyone was silent after that. After 10 minutes, Golf Ball started moving and talking again.
