Take-Over: A BFB/TPOT AU

Chapter 38: Forgotten

IMPORTANT MESSAGE! This regards story updates and formats. I'm thinking of two ways this can go. Please let me know which option you'd prefer:

-Chapters with 3+ teams, longer, takes more time to get out. (2-3 days)

-Chapters with 2 teams, shorter, can produce more quickly. (1-2 days)

Team: Death P.A.C.T

Black Hole was in his room, looking outside the window. He saw Pen, Bottle, and Tree walking back, chatting together. He suddenly felt a pang of loneliness. He's always been somewhat alone, but at least people still chatted with him. However, with half of their team dead and the others hanging around with each other, he was pretty lonely. The closest person he had on this team was dead, and those three seemed to not include him in anything unless for their own benefit. Come to think of it, did they EVER want to hang out with him when they didn't need him to do anything? Taking a deep breath, he decided to confront the 3 about it, maybe he just was just overthinking. They had just entered the building and Black Hole floated down to them. Confused but happy, they all waved him hi. He blocked their path, and asked,

"Hey, have we ever had a normal conversation?"

The 3 of them looked at him confused, and Tree said,

"Of course, we have! We're teammates, and we-"

"Name one time we've talked where you didn't need anything."

"Uh, give me a sec."

Tree raised his hand to his chin and started thinking. Pen and Bottle glanced at each other nervously, as they couldn't think of anything. Tree raised his hand and spoke.

"A ha! We discussed what to do in TPOT 2, and I didn't ask you to do anything, we worked together."

"Oh. That makes sense. But I just... Don't feel appreciated."

"What do you mean Black Hole? We do appreciate you."

"Yeah, but most of the time you use me for the challenge, and I don't mind it, but it makes me wonder. Have you guys ever seen me as a friend? We don't really chat outside of the challenge, and you guys never talk to me about anything but what we should do for the challenge."

"Aw, Black Hole! I, Bottle, do see you as a friend! You helped us out many times, and we always ask you to do stuff because you're the only one that can!"

"Thanks Bottle, it makes me feel better. Say, where do you three go? You've all been going somewhere recently around the same time, and you've been leaving me out."

"Oh! Me, Tree, and Pen all go out to scout around to see if any object crossed the border."

"That checks out, can I join you guys?"

"Hmm, sure-"

"No. Sorry Black Hole, but you need to stay here in case anybody sneaks in without us noticing." 

"Oh, I see. It's fine, I understand."

Bottle looked at Tree with surprise. How could he turn down Black Hole so easily? Plus, if they scout out, nobody can sneak in! Didn't he hear about how Black Hole has been feeling disrespected? The last thing he'd want to hear is that he wouldn't be allowed to join them. Bottle wanted Black Hole to join them, she was about to speak up when Pen interrupted her.

"How about one of us stay instead of him? That way he can still hang out and the base will be fine!"

"I like that idea! How about you Tree? Are you cool with it?"
