Oh No...

"Young miss! Please get back here!" A maid begs me as I continue to run away from her.

It's been six years since we were born for the second time and we haven't changed not one bit. We were in the middle of one of our many classes but I was bored so I ditched.

[You are so stupid, T] Dahlia says through our link as I loose the maid who was chasing.

[You are just boring, I can learn it all later. Plus we've always been the best at learning things so I don't know why you stay there when we know all of that already. You are the stupid one, D] I tell her as I run through the maids exit and out to the stables.

Because my name was a little weird, Ma and Dahlia gave each short nicknames.

Hers is 'D' for Dahlia and mine is 'T' for Aconitum.

I run to the stables and straight to my horse, Scarlet. She is a pure black horse with light red eyes and she's just like me.

Dahlias horse is Snow, and just like her name says, she's a snow white horse with soft green eyes. And she's just like my sister.

Scarlet neighs as she sees me because she already knows what I'm gonna do.

Me and Dahlia have always picked up things faster then anybody else, plus we have photographic memory. That's how I quickly learned how to ride a horse.

Because I watched the knights and my father ride them.

Dukedom Thorn has a history of producing the best sword masters, and that's also why I'm so excited to learn how to wield a sword.

I get scarlet ready before the stable boy or the maids find me and then I quickly get on her.

Dahlia isn't even close to being excited to learn how to wield a sword, she's still the same as ever and she's just like our mom.

I'm a tomboy while she's a girly girl.

"Let's go Scarlet!" I say as I squeeze my tiny legs together.

She starts running out of the stables and I see the knights and maids looking around for me before they see me on Scarlet.

I see my mother, father, Dahlia, and Allen, my older brother, run out of the main house and their eyes snap to me.

I don't slow down as me and Scarlet run around the open field on our property. I realer her reigns and lift my hands up into the air while ignoring my family's screams.

"WOOHOO!" I yell as Scarlet neighs in happiness.

After some time of evading the knights, maids, and my father and brother, I slow Scarlet down and hop off of her while panting.

"Young lady you are in so much trouble!" My mother shouts as she stomps towards me.

My eyes go wide as she speeds up and I turn for my horse but the knights have already taken her away from me.

When I turn back to my mother, it's already too late and her hand has already connected to the back of my head.

"Ow!" I say as I grab the back of my small head while looking up at my mother with defiant eyes.

Sadly...I can't change. I'm a born and bred rebel who decided to live her life, even if it's in pain.

"What is wrong with you young lady?! You gave me a heart attack when you put your hands in the air!" My mother continues to shout and scorn at me.

I look at D and see her shaking her head with crossed arms.

[This happens every time and you still refuse to change.] She says as she shakes her head again.

I look to my father while using my puppy eyes and I see him try and look away from me but in the end, I win.

"Honey, how about we calm down a bit? I think she's learned her lesson now." My father says as he tries to comfort my mother.

"You defend her every time, Theodor! And she never learns her lesson! She does this every time!" My mother shouts as she lets my father comfort her.

She's right, I will never learn my lesson. And I do this every time too.

I use my father to protect me from his crazy wife because Dahlia refuses to ever rescue me from this devil of a woman.

"Shh, shh, it's okay honey." My father comforts my mother as he brings her back to the main house.

"You should've just stayed in class." D says as she walks over to me.

After our parents are out of hearing range, we both bust out laughing.

"Sh-she hit me so hard!" I say as tears gather in the corners of my eyes because I'm laughing so hard.

"She was sc-screaming so m-much while they were looking f-for you!" D says as she clutched her stomach.

After our fit of laughter ends, we take our time walking back to the main house for my own sake.

"I thought she'd faint when we saw you put your hands in the air." D says.

"It was so fun! Scarlet was having just as much fun as I was. She's was so happy to see me. I had tan to her immediately." I tell her.

"Yeah, but you should've at least attempted to change first. Your dress is now ruined and your hair is all wild looking now." Dahlia says to me as she points at the various mud spots on my dress and my crazy hair.

"My hair is only like this because of how hard mom had hit me. I saw through time and space for a second!" I say and we both laugh again.

"Besides all that, are we going to practice tonight? It's been a while." Dahlia asks me.

She's talking about our magic. Our mom has a nature affinity and my dad has a wind affinity. He uses his wind affinity when he's using his sword because it makes him a hundred times stronger.

Allen, our older brother by two years, has both nature and wind affinities.

So far, me and Dahlia know that we have both of our parents affinities like Allen, but we suspect that we have more because our mana flow is somewhat wonky.

"Yes! But wait for me because you already know that moms gonna scold me after dinner even if dad tries to save me." I tell her as we walk back inside of the main house.

The maids and servants greet us as we walk past them.

"No one can save you from the after desert toppings." She says with a giggle as I laugh.

The 'after desert toppings' is what we call it when mother scolds me after our meal because she makes scolding me look like a piece of cake.

"Lady Dahlia, viscount Bonnie is asking for you before she leaves." A maid comes up to us and says.

Viscount Bonnie is our tutor, she's really smart but she reminds me of a robot when she's teaching us.

"Thank you, I'll talk with you later T." Dahlia says as she waves to me.

"Talk to ya then, D." I say as I begin to wonder around the house.
