Liam
Marcus has been working us pretty hard at this captain's practice. I know he's nervous about being captain when some of us are older than him, but he's doing a great job. I look over during our water break and see Marcus talking to his friends, and I see Iris. All I can remember is her in that sports bra, messy hair and sweatpants, it was hot.
But I feel nothing for her but contempt. There are plenty of girls I hate that I find attractive, she's just another. I see a guy sitting between her and her friend Lilly, and come to the conclusion he's Lilly's boyfriend. They seem happy. Iris, next to them, seems like she wants to poke her eyes out.
After practice, we all split, Marcus goes with his friends, I receive a lovely glare from Iris, and I go with the guys. We head back to the house, and make lunch. We all eat on our own, but our own culinary expert Grayson delivers an amazing lunch as always. I look over and notice Felix smiling and giggling while looking at his phone.
"Setting up a hot date Lix?" I ask. His eyes shoot up, he looks like he's been broken out of some trance.
"Oh no, just watching a comedy set," he blushes and laughs awkwardly. I study his body language, something is definitely up.
Around 2, I leave for class, grabbing a coffee on my way. Being a pre-law major is hard, all my classes are just baby classes to prepare me for law school, and I'm so not ready. As I'm walking to class, I see Iris again. This time, she's glued to her phone, excitedly texting someone.
"The age of technology," I comment as I walk over.
"Oh... You," she sneers, looking up from her phone. "Coffee? From that place down the block?"
"Yeah, what's the problem with that?"
"It's so bland, and overpriced."
"Isn't all coffee?"
"Not the shit you make at home," she smiles, walking by. "Toodaloo," she waves, her fingers hooking my coffee cup as it slowly hits the ground.
"Bitch," I mutter, leaning over to pick it up.
"Dick," I hear her mutter as she walks away. Thankfully it doesn't spill on my hoodie or jeans, and I simply throw the cup away before heading to lecture. It's boring, and I kill myself realizing despite this being my "senior year", it's not over yet. About halfway through the lecture, I see the girl next to me slip me a note.
"Date tomorrow night after lecture?" No thanks. She and I have talked before, but she's only in this class because her friends are, and in my opinion, this is either a class you take because you're forced to, or you don't take it at all. She's smart, but she plays dumb thinking it'll impress me, so wrong. I find smart girls attractive, I'd rather stay in with a girl studying then out partying or god forbid, tutoring a girl. I check my phone and see a text from Felix letting the group know we're hosting a bunch of yard games, and that Marcus and his friends are coming over, even Iris. If I have to be around her and pretend to withstand her presence, I can at least do it while kicking her ass in some lawn games.
A/N: Hi! Sorry this chapter is so short, it's just kind of filler. Like I said a few chapters ago, the beginning chapters are pretty short, but they get longer trust me lol.
