Chapter Sixty-One;
"Argh...I feel dead." Tiana croaked as she placed her palm on her forehead. She started going through her bags to take out some clothes.
"What time is it?" I asked, making no attempt to move from my bed because I knew it was early as Janelle wasn't up yet.
"Seven." Tiana said before yawning.
"What time do you finish college?"
"Two." She replied before grabbing her towel.
"Ok." I whispered before rolling over and fell asleep again, I briefly remember hearing Tiana softly shutting the front door. Janelle woke up at around half-ten and I got up and started getting on with our morning routine. It was a lovely bright day so I got myself washed and dressed in my pinkish-reddish dress with big flower designs printed on it, the dress came up just above my knees I teamed this with black leggings and pink and gold sandals, big, chunky gold hoops and my sunglasses perched on top of my head. I put Janelle in the cute baby pink dress my Auntie had brought for her she looked seriously cute with a pink headband in her hair which was tied up in one. I placed her in her in the pushchair and we went out to Tesco's and brought some food for the flat as me and Tiana practically ate everything last night. I decided to buy less ready-made meals and buy actual ingredients and cook for once. I thought back to the day before yesterday and how Kadeem had cooked for me and I smiled faintly.
I decided I was going to make Tortillas tonight so I strolled down the bread isle, Janelle singing to herself causing people to turn around and smile at her because for a baby who was squeaking out random gibberish it sounded quiet good.
"She's adorable." One middle-aged woman said to me. "Is she your little sister?" the white woman added.
"Uh, no...my daughter." I corrected her registering the shocked look that spread across her face.
"Oh!" she exclaimed.
I smiled, amused by the shocked look on her face before walking on. I was coming out of Tesco's when I got a phone call from Ashley.
"Hi Ashley!" I beamed.
"Hello Jay you alright?" she laughed.
"Yeah, yeah." I said as I crossed at a zebra crossing. "How's DeAndre?"
"He's being a nightmare today." She told me while I started laughing. "He was shrieking his head off for a reason that is so unknown to me!"
"Aww," I giggled.
"Yeah so Curtis took him out to the park as the weather is so nice today." She sighed. "I swear I'm so tired. I feel like I haven't had a good's night sleep since DeAndre was born."
"I know what you mean." I said yawning as I walked down my road.
"Bri called me about going out for dinner today."
"Wasn't it supposed to be lunch?" I asked.
"Oh please," Ashley snorted. "By the time everyone's ready? Trust, it's gonna be dinner."
I started laughing and shaking my head. "Yeah, you're right." I agreed.
"Hm, I think I'm going to get some sleep before those two get back and start making up noise." She told me sleepily.
"Aw, alright. I'll see you tonight?"
"Yup, bye honey."
I got into the house and started taking the things I had brought out of the Tesco bags and storing them in the kitchen. I then put Janelle on her highchair and cut up some fruits, bananas, strawberries and apples and placed it on a plate in front of her so she could eat. There was a knock on my door I opened it to find Kadeem standing in front of it with a grin stretched from ear to ear.
