When Jaida Met Kadeem - Part Three.

Chapter Four;

When I got to school the next day I noticed something weird. I stopped on my tracks when I walked into tutor to see Bri, Larissa, Krystal and Gemma. They were just sitting quietly on our table having what looked from the distance I was standing from them like a deep conversation. I shut the door and Bri immediately looked up and gave me a small smile. 

"Where's the mandem?" I asked them. They all stared at me. 

"You don't know?" Gemma asked. 

"Does this look like a face of someone in the know?" I replied, getting kind of scared by the way they were so quiet. Bri...she's never quiet for more than a second, Gemma's always talking about a new link and Krystal is kind of quiet but not like this. 

"What's going on?" I demanded to know. 

"Prince..." Bri started. I lost interest immediately. 

"What about him? Conceived another baby?" I asked screwing. 

"No died actually." Gemma snapped, my hand flew to my mouth. 

"What?!" I exclaimed loudly, making everyone in my Tutor turn to me. 

"Jaida, I know you have difficulties keeping your mouth shut," Miss. Goodman said. "But at least keep your voice DOWN!" she shouted. 

"Whatever man." I kissed my teeth at her. "You need to be keeping your voice down bare shouting in my ear and ting." I replied. 

"Jaida if I tell you again -" 

"OK MAN!" I said. "I heard you." I said in a quieter tone before turning back to my girls. I was in shock and I felt kind of bad about what I just said. I thought about his two girls. Losing their Dad before they properly got to know him. I thought about Shane! He must be going through hell, that's his guy right there, Rex, Damien, Jordan and Emmanuel all of them must be going through hell...oh my days Kadeem as well that's his cousin! Oh sh*t! 

I sat back in my seat and shook my head. "How did you lot find out?" I asked. 

"Kadeem told me." Gemma said. "I went to his house this morning so we could walk to school together..." she sighed. "He was shot in the chest last night when he must've rolled through some next ends he wasn't welcome in init, he has beef with three of the guys cause he tried moving to all of their wife's I think... someone witnessed it and called the ambulance and he was taken into hospital only to die ten minutes later." I stared at her silently unable to believe what I was hearing. I got what I wanted though, true say it was his fault though if he knew that people were after him wherever he was going then why risk it and go? That's why Shane locked off on me yesterday night then, someone must've texted him and told him... 

"How's Kadeem?" I asked quietly after a brief silence, he must be hurting the most. I know what it's like to lose family... 

"He looked so tired but managed to look so s*xy at the same time!" Gemma said, shaking her head with disbelief. "But yeah," she said, clearing throat. "I don't think anyone's going to be in school today."

And she was right, no-one was in school today really, it was so dead and everyone just kept talking about Prince. I wasn't interested, I know that sounds bad but that's what happens when you dislike someone in the amount I did with Prince. I tried calling Shane but his phone went straight to Voicemail... 

After school we all decided to go to Kadeem's yard you know to pay our respects and that, Gemma led the way because she somehow found out where he lived; I knew the road but not the door number. She rang the doorbell and we all stood behind her, the door opened and we saw Rex behind it. Gemma reached up and hugged him and he hugged her back before walking inside, Bri, Larissa and Krystal did the same, my hug was the longest because I'm special like that lool. I breathed in his familiar scent and walked into the house. "Are you Ok?" I asked him as we broke apart. He nodded as he closed the front door. "Look Jaida, I need to talk to you." He said quietly.
