When Jaida Met Kadeem - Part Eleven.
Chapter Nineteen;
Rex's parent's had gone to Jamaica for a week so Rex and his older brother Nathaniel/Nathan had there big mansion of a house to themselves and boy were they making the most of it. At around Nine Nathaniel rolled into the house with bare man who came into the front room where me, Rex and Naomi were jamming eating chips to greet Rex, not before licking their lips at me and looking me up and down before they left.
"Oi wagwarn Jaida!" Nathan called, grinning at me. "Man ain't seen you here for a while, still."
I smiled, "Yeah, been a bit busy,"
"Ah, I hear that, I hear that," he answered, "Nice to see your pretty little face around here again," his grin grew wider before he walked up the stairs leaving me to shake my head and continue eating my chips, I looked up for a second and saw Naomi watching me funny. I forced myself not to screw her and focused on my food. About ten minutes later the doorbell rang and I walked towards it and opened the door to find Jamal and Curtis standing there, a shot of excitement ran through me, "JAMALL!" I screamed, wrapping my arms around his neck and planting a kiss on his cheek.
"You cool baby girl?"
"Yeah, I'm good," I told him genuinely, before turning to Curtis and giving him a small smile, he looked so s*xy oh my days! He had let his hair grow out in to this mini curly afro and he had the front of his hair shaped-up, it suited him so much. He smiled at me and I couldn't stop staring at him and I felt so under-dressed and ugly in front of him at that moment, I should've brought some clothes! But my main concern was getting out of that house as soon as possible; I wasn't thinking about clothes...I didn't even bring my phone.
"Aww Curtis, I heard about your girl being pregnant," I said into his ear as we hugged each other, it was a long and tight hug, I breathed in his scent he smelt like some nice men's perfume, whoever this girl of his was she was lucky. He closed the door and took my hands looking me in the eyes, I smiled at him, I felt a strong wave of affection for him, I really missed him. "So how you been -"he was interrupted the doorbell ringing again. As he was closest to the door, he walked over to it and opened it.
"What is this, a party or something?" I asked, because the amount of people that were here so far was not serious. But true say Rex's house could hold the whole British army in just his front room.
When I looked up I saw Kadeem standing there with some girl, my heartbeat increased when I saw him but sank when I saw the litey he was with. He spudded Curtis and the girl said hi to him before he noticed me, he looked kind of surprised to see me but smiled and came over to hug me, I looked over my shoulder at the girl who stood there awkwardly half-smiling, waiting to be introduced.
"Jaida, this is my COUSIN Taylor," he said, I smiled as he emphasized the word 'cousin'.
"Hi, nice to meet ya," she said in some next accent.
"She's from Birmingham that's why she speaks funny, she's not disabled." Kadeem cut in.
"You take the piss," I muttered, though I wanted to laugh at the way he said it.
"F*ck you, Kadeem," she said, "I'm going to say hi to Rex," she said walking towards the front room, I looked up and realised Curtis wasn't there anymore. So it was me and Kadeem alone in the hallway.
"I left him," I said quietly, after a brief silence.
"I know," he replied, leaning against the wall, "I was with him today,"
I nodded, "Did he...say anything about me?"
Kadeem shook his head and I looked down kind of hurt, "Ok," I replied.
