Chapter Two;
School was dead. I just sat in lessons, bored out of my mind and ignoring people who asked about Shane. Yeah, the word had spread and everyone knew kmt. Not that I care that they knew, but they kept asking me about him and it just got me vexed.
"Cheer up Jay Jay," Rex said to me at Lunch. I was sitting outside on a bench on my ones, everyone I jam with was on the opposite side near the Tennis courts but Shane was there and I knew there would be tension so I didn't go join them. I was watching him slyly before Rex, Kadeem and Deon approached me, he looked normal...like he didn't care, he blatantly saw me in the corridors and his eyes went straight THROUGH me. And I am the girl he's meant to love yeah?
They all took a seat on the bench I was on, eating their chips...they smelt peennngg and I was bare hungry as well! I looked over at Rex's chips because Deon is stingy bastard and I don't know Kadeem that well.
"You better turn them eyes the other way Jaida Harris," he told me, his eyes on his chips which he was eating with one of them little wooden forks.
"But I'm hungry, Rex!" I whined. "You ate dinner at my house yesterday..." I reminded him.
He carried on munching on his chips, "I know." he said.
"Rex!" I shouted, by now Deon and Kadeem were laughing, I crossed my arms and sulked until Kadeem passed me his chips.
"Here," he smiled at me...his teeth were perfect, no really; they were so straight & white. At first I thought it was some kind of joke and he was going to snatch them away if I take them, but he didn't.
"Where's Bri?" Deon asked me, cause I'm rarely seen without her.
"Detention," I replied, mouth full of chips. He left me quite a lot you know, then I remembered. Where are my manners? "Thank you, Kadeem." I smiled at him for the first time.
He looked kind of surprised lool. Was I that rude to him? "It's cool,"
"Detention already?" Deon said.
"Yup. That girl's mouth will be the death of her." I shook my head. Bri must've told her Maths teacher to "Go suck herself." behind her back and she over-heard, Bri can't whisper for shit.
At the end of the day everyone was going to jam at Rex's palace, by everyone I meant: me, Bri, Krystal, Renai, Larissa, Deon, Damien, Jordan, Emmanuel, some boy called Chris who's in a year below us but he don't look it, Kadeem, Fusion...and Shane. I hate that my friends are Shane's friends...or should I say his friends are my friends as he's known them longer than I have.
"Where's Gemma?" Kadeem asked, he looked behind him, he had his arm round Krystal who looked baree happy...typical mixed-race boy kmt.
"Her mum wanted her home early cause she keeps coming home at these late times, tweleve...one." Larissa explained.
"Uh uh where is she going?" Bri asked loudly.
"Link man probably," Rex laughed, as we turned to his road...it was so clean and the houses are so perfectly decorated with them neat hedges and sh*t.
"And she comes back at one in the morning?" Krystal asked, wrinkling her nose.
We arrive at Rex's door and he opens the door and lets us in, when I say his house is S*XY! His Dad's a doctor and his mum owns her own Beauty Salon called: Beauty Spot lool, it's penngg Auntie Donna goes there to get her nails done.
Parents work late, older brother's a hood rat so he basically has a free yard everyday. Lucky, lucky guy.
When we're in we all know what to do, we go up the stairs to the third floor and go into his room while Rex gets us food from downstairs. Krystal and Kadeem jump onto his bed and cuddle up inthe corner, they actually look like a nice couple you know...
