When my alarm clock starts going off I do everything in my power to block it out, putting the pillows on my ears but nothing works.
After a while, I get fed up and end up breaking the alarm clock and I go back to sleep.
At least I would've but then Bruno and Vera barge in waking me up completely.
"Time to wake u-" They both yell in unison but I cut them off by sealing their mouths shut.
"We're going to try that again but with less yelling okay," I say releasing them.
"Sorry, your mom wanted us to tell you that the real estate agent is coming around in a few minutes," Bruno says with contentment.
Didn't know he wanted to get rid of me so badly.
I look at Vera to get her to spill the news she has.
"The Covenant is setting up a meeting, virtually, to discuss our roles here, it'll be later in the evening so you'll have time to fix yourself so you don't look like you just rolled out of bed," She says jokingly and I roll my eyes in response.
They both leave the room and I stare at the ceiling for a while before getting up.
I look at myself in the mirror and fix my hair to look decent enough and change into the clothes I still have yet to box.
I walk out of the Terren and wait outside for my real estate agent.
A few minutes pass as I'm scrolling through my phone and to the side I can see someone wearing heels.
Looking up from my phone I can see that it's the real estate agent.
"You must be Mr. Astra, we spoke over the phone about your apartment," She says offering her hand.
I shake her hand and she suggests that we talk more inside.
"We can't do that 'cause uh...they're renovating the place, fixing the floors and walls so let's just talk out here," I say quickly.
There was really no point in lying, the Terren would just revert to the library. God, I need caffeine.
She looks at me skeptically but agrees. Pulling out a folder with papers for me to sign.
I skim through the papers and sign them all.
"Thank you, that's all we have to disclose, the landlord will contact you within a two-day window," She says handing me a key.
Looking at the key makes me happy for some reason but I'll take it.
She walks away with an intrigued look on her face and I look into her thoughts.
He's just a kid, how does he have the money for an apartment and to be living alone, well at least I made one client happy today.
Wow, life as a real estate agent must be difficult, and who cares where the money comes from?
Okay, it comes from the Covenant that's where.
At least the Covenant helps with expenses and being a unified one has its perks with that side of the business.
I walk back to my room to collect my boxes to move into my new apartment.
Walking up the stairs I see Nick waiting outside my door.
"There you are, Naomi asked me to see if you wanted to grab lunch with us before we meet with the Covenant," he says as I open the door.
"I would love to but I got to move all these boxes into my apartment and finish moving in before that so I'll have to pass," I say, feeling bad.
