24: He's Gone

I hate it when my brain is awake while my body is unresponsive. 

I change my position a couple of times to find a comfortable spot but nothing helps.

Keeping my eyes shut I start hearing voices.

Voices that sound like Adam and... Max?

It sounds like someone is struggling. Soon those voices start turning into images in my head.

It's like I'm in the room but everything is warped.

I can see Adam struggling to fight back against three people. Someone walks past me and when they step into the light I can see that it's Max.

He smiles at Adam and one of the people holding him down puts him to sleep.

They pick him up and carry him out. When they step out of the room the vision stops.

Waking up in a cold sweat and breathing rapidly I try to understand what I saw.

"Adam" I whisper to myself and run downstairs.

Seeing the front door busted open I run to his room in fear.

Opening his door I cover my mouth in fear. Feeling tears form when I walk in seeing the room a mess.

The vision showed me him getting kidnapped. He was taken from right under me.

I'm going to kill him. I'm going to make sure Max hurts for what he's done.

I clean up the room and fix the front door with magic while I go back to my room.

Changing into appropriate clothes I grab my coat and head to the Terren.

While walking to the Terren I text everyone to meet me at the meeting room.

Even though it's early in the morning I can't afford to waste time, especially since it's Max, there's no telling what he'll do to Adam.

Once I got to the room I pace back and forth. Tapping my foot on the ground as I stare at the door.

What's taking them so long? They live in the Terren. 

I can't wait for them any longer.

I start to pick up my things and then everyone starts walking in.

"Jordan do you have any idea how early it is?" Bruno says yawning.

Everyone takes a seat and I stand in front of them.

Looking down at my hands I say, "I know and I'm sorry for waking you up this early but um...Adam's gone missing, the divergent witches took him"

Feeling my mouth quiver I can tell that everyone notices it and changes their attitude.

"Oh god, do you at least know who took him or when?" Naomi asks and I nod.

"He was taken some time in the night and he was taken by Max," I say and Nick stands abruptly.

"Max! I thought you abandoned him? What is he doing back in New York?" He says raising his voice. I shrug.

He sits back down in frustration and everyone questions who's Max.

Nick goes ahead and explains who he is and when he finishes I say, "look Max has a bigger plan, he took Adam because of me so I'll go look for him. As for all of you, he's planning an attack, he was asking about where the Covenant is and he's also working with witch hunters"

They look at each other with concern and then back at me.

"You can't just go looking for him on your own, the city is way too big and-" Naomi says but Vera cuts her off.
