Scrolling through Netflix I find nothing good, occasionally something catches my eye but not that good to make me watch.
I'm just trying to pass the time because Adam left to run some errands and I'm bored.
Maybe I should consider getting a pet, I'll have the company and I've always wanted a pet, especially an Australian shepherd.
You know what, let's look at the lease, praying that the complex allows pets.
Rummaging through the box of importance it takes me a while to find the lease papers.
Let's see, talking about the bills, the room, ah ha, pets.
"Each apartment owner is allowed one pet with an expense" it reads.
I have to pay to have a pet? This is literally a scam and for fifty-five dollars! I really need to get my priorities straight but on the other hand, I can have a dog.
I'll discuss it with Adam when he gets back.
He didn't even tell me how long he'll be out so for all I know I have a whole day to myself.
I have a whole day to myself... watch, something will happen and ruin it, happens every time.
Actually thinking about it, I haven't seen Rorie in a while or actually hung out with them besides seeing them yesterday.
I take out my phone and text them saying, "hey Rorie, whatcha up to?"
They respond quickly saying, "hey, nothing I'm just trying to get through closing, you can stop by"
With that, I get up from the couch, grab my keys, and head over to the tailor shop.
It's pretty much a peaceful day, besides the fact that people are busy moving boxes with decorations.
I find it weird how many people are actually moving boxes of decorations, did I miss something?
Whatever I'll figure it out later. I start walking a little faster to get to Rorie quicker.
Opening the door and hearing the bell ring, alarming Rorie and apparently Adam since he's here.
As Adam stands up stiff, clearly hiding something, I say, "what are you guys doing?"
Adam looks over at Rorie to find something to say but their both not helping each other.
"We uh we're talking about...clothes! Trying to find my sense of style you know" he says and god he's a terrible liar.
I let it slide and as I sit on the counter I say, "how'd your day go Rorie"
"It was the same as any other day but I did have someone who wanted to make a statement about being single and free so that was fun," they say laughingly.
As it gets closer to closing, Rorie goes ahead and walks around the shop to organize and clean.
"You have a date?" I say and they look at me confused.
"Your bracelet, you don't wear it unless it's for special occasions, one of which is if you have a date" I point out and they smile.
"Yeah I do, I met this girl at a party and she asked me out but I need help with what to wear," they say and now I'm confused.
"You, Rorie need help to pick out an outfit? The person who literally embodies fashion needs our help, I'd be honored" I say jokingly and we all laugh, clearly calming their nerves.
They pull out five mannequins with different outfits.
Me and Adam carefully examine each and every single one of them.
