Me and Adam didn't get home till about one in the morning which is fine cause I can hang out with Rorie all day but I also love sleeping.

I'm so grateful that today is my day off. Well sort of.

I don't have teaching but I do have that meeting I set up with a few witches and I also have to direct the course of action for the researchers.

Other than that I have the whole day to myself and what makes it better is that it's raining, one of my favorite weathers.

Rain just helps me feel at ease, drowns out everything, and allows me to just relax.

Getting to sleep in helps too.

I stay in bed for a little while, staring at the ceiling and concentrating on the sounds of rain hitting the windows.

After a few minutes of that, I sit up and stretch before getting ready for the day.

I find Adam watching TV in the living room.

"Thought you would've slept in more," I say jokingly and he looks out the window.

"Yeah but I technically haven't seen a thunderstorm before so I thought I'd check it out, it's peaceful," he says with bliss.

"Yeah it is, anyway I'm heading over to the Terren, I'll be back later," I say grabbing my umbrella.

Before I walk out Adam stops me and says, "well I'll meet you there in a few but you didn't eat breakfast so I'll bring lunch"

I smile at him to thank him and head out.

Walking out of the complex I receive a text message from an unknown number.

Never mind it's from Stanley saying, "Jordan I have an important matter to discuss with you, meet me at the café down the road from the Terren, thank you"

Wow okay um how did he get my number and why does he want to meet me, from the few times we've met I get the feeling he doesn't like me.

I give him a thumbs up in response and go there first.

When I walk into the café I spot him waving me over and I put on a fake smile.

"How can I help you Covenant Stanley, must be important if you came all this way," I say and he looks around like a paranoid man.

"We know you're trying to meet with other witches to gain information about our predicament but the Covenant has ordered you to avoid telling them that we have this issue," he says and I lean back into my seat.

"Okay sure but if I'm going to do that, tell me why the Covenant is afraid of shades," I say leaning forward again.

He takes a sip of his drink and I relax.

"You don't know why, do you?" I say and he looks at me with suspicion.

"Yeah don't worry, don't get your boxers in a bunch I won't share that much," I say getting up.

I pause before leaving and say, "oh and I will find out what you guys are hiding" and now I take my leave.

Finally making it to the Terren I'm immediately bombarded with witches coming to me with their problems.

A lot of what they're saying consists of why their kids are learning magic set on a higher level and how some of their kids can prepare for the unified trials.

"Hey wait what, I can't- I don't- the trials aren't until we unified one's pass...you still have time," I say and I feel useless.

I wish I had the answers but like I've been saying, no one tells me anything.
