the light in his dark

Part 8

It's Thursday and i can't wait to be tomorrow. James is traveling because of his work but he finds some times to call me or text me. Asking for my day or what i would want to eat Friday. 

Monday night, when James and Travis were gone, Kellie and I spent the evening at the library. We read for 2 hours and then we came home and spent an evening cocooning in the couch in front of the TV.

Since then i just sleep, go to dance, go to my lesson at the university and read. Call James sometime when he had times. I already have my outfit for tomorrow. And because i couldn't decide what i wanted to eat, James told me he would take care of it. I told him what i hate and what i love eating. I told him to do something light and i hope he will listen to me. 

I'm now streching next to Lila. Mattéo isn't here today cause he's sick. Miss Jane wasn't happy about it. She says 'if your sick or even if you have one finger missing you come ! this isn't a joke or a simple dance lesson for some people who like  ballet. This is your futur' 

"alright guys listen to me" Miss Jane says while tapping with her pen on the paper block. Everyone stop what they were doing and look at her " 3 men will come today to evaluate each of you to select 5 of you who will participate in the May auditions." 

ho i didn't tell you ? the competition doesn't just stop at passing the auditions. no no. First you have to be selected for these famous auditions. 

"those who aren't here today could pass the next week." 

I sigh in relief and so does Lila. Mattéo still have his chance. 

"They will be there in any minutes now so strech and be prepared" 

Everyone goes back to what they were doing and Miss Jane says "you will need to change. there are outfits for you in your changing room." 

After some time we see 3 men walking in the room. They have a focused gaze and examine each of us. They are intimidating. I don't know how I will manage to make a presentation in front of them. 

We will all present the same sequence. Miss Jane has had us working on it for 2 months and I've mastered it to perfection. The 3 men are talking with Miss Jane Before she clears her troat for having everyone attention. 

"Everyone in the changing room now. You change and then i'll call you one by one. When you are finish with us you go to my office and wait for me. You don't go back to the changing room to change. I'll come when everyone would be there understood ?" we all nod and then go in the room. 

When i walk to get out of the room i look to the men and i see one who catch my eyes. He's bigger than the others and is more confident. The two others are backward compare to him. What catch my eyes is more his hand. His left hand. He have two fingers missing and i can tell it hasn't been long. He should have had a bandage but he doesn't. I look back at him and he is already looking at me with narrow eyes. Shit  i look toward me and walk faster. 

We are in the changing room and it's been 45 minutes. It's just me and Lila now. She can't stop walking in the room and shake her hands. I keep told her she will be fine but with the stress you never listen to the person who comfort you. She texted Mattéo to keep him update from whathever had been say. 

I'm texting now James. I told Kellie early but i was scared to bother him with my thing because he's working right now so i thought he wouldn't care but he did. It's been five minutes we talk by messages about what will happen in a few minutes when i have to go and he's very reassuring. 

Lila is called to go and after i told her a hundred times she'll be perfect she goes to Miss Jane. I hear the music from here and i can tell she began. The dance is 3 minutes long so it can be short but it can be long too.
