I didn't want to go back to work today. I didn't fucking want to tell her that she'll probably be alone for our first night together

Her voice and her face when I say that just killed me. She could stabs me it would be the same

She acted tough while I was home but I knew she was upset.

I walk back to my work And I see Travis waiting for me in front of our meeting room. I'm moving towards him and he stands up "sorry to have called you before the end of your break but the customers arrived earlier so the meeting has been moving forward"

I nod my head and Travis opens the door. I walk in the room and shake hands with all our 9 customers who are installed around the table

When I finish I sit at the end of the table and Travis sits to my right. Some other of my men are sitting with us

A man sitting at the end of the table gets up and starts talking "my boss is very interested in associating with you. So he sends me to talk about it with you."

I wave at him to continue "he thinks that if we come to work together it could be big for our companies. My boss is a great businessman from Spain and is intrigued by your work''

"I'm not interested in someone who is just intrigued by my work. I'm interested in someone who knows his job and who will make the deliveries on time'' I say dryly

This man looks familiar. I don't know if I already saw him somewhere but he looks familiar

The man swallows his saliva discreetly but not enough for me to not see him and continues "yes of course. My boss runs a lot of companies in Spain and is ready to do business with you''

"Who is your boss? Why isn't he here at this moment to talk with me ? Why did he sends you to do his work ?'' I ask annoyed tapping my fingers on my lap

I don't like when bosses send their puppies to deal the associations. If they really want to work with me then they come to me

Did they make me shorten my time with Wendy for that ? To talk with a men in his fifties who don't know what he's talking about ?

"My boss is busy for the moment preparing something for you," he says, showing me with his hand

"For me?" I'm asking now intrigued. I learn forward and puts my eyebrows on the table while Travis presses his back on his chair

He nods his head 'yes, as I said my boss is a refined person and likes to take care of his enters. It's thanks to all of his preparation when he wants to do business with someone that he gets it''

''What do you mean ?'' Travis asks confused

''when my boss is interested in a business like yours, he makes a surprise to help you convince yourself to say yes'' he says looking at us both

I put my hand on my chin and look at Travis who raise his shoulders

I look again at the man standing at the end of my table "and who are you?"

I leave the meeting room and go to my office with Travis following me

I close the door once we're inside and I start purring us Scotch

"What do you think?" Travis asks me when I give him his drink

"I don't know. I don't feel it. I'm not sure at 100% I can trust him or his boss. There's something wrong with his story and with what he says" I say before taking a sip
