4 hours earlier

"In a month, days for days, the audition will take place. For the 9 selected I want you to work like you never worked before. Give your best and be ready" Miss Jane tells us

"You can go change. Good work everyone. You were doing great today'' she smiles at us before allowing us to go change ourself

As I am Walking to the locker room Lila grabs my right arm and Matteo my left arm 'I'm too stressed'' Lila says, looking straight ahead ''what if I messed up ? What if I fall ?''

"It's going to be fine. You're a super dancer Lila'' I smile at her and Matteo hits my head hard

"Ouch" i squeal and he looks at me wickedly "what was that for?"

"And you don't tell me anything?" He asks me before crossing his arms on his chest

''tell you what ?" I ask by rubbing my head where he hits me

"I also need to be reassured" he bows his head while waiting for me to compliment him

I smile viciously and go into the locker room without saying anything.

I hear Matteo get angry but Lila puts him back in place and I hear them approaching me from behind as I laugh silently

I turn around and Lila winks at me as Matteo looks at me with narrow eyes. He looks at me from up and down but he quickly changes his face when Lila look at him making me laugh

I finish changing and I grab my things. I say goodbye to my friends and start walking to the front door of the studio but before I can go out Chelsey step in front of me with crossed arms

I sigh "what do you want?"

She smiles and looks at me from a high, "Do you think you're a good dancer Wendy?"

"Do you think you're better than me ? Yes that's what you think, right ?" She asks me as  she approaches me slowly

"Do you really think your little mom would be proud of you if she sees what you need to do to succeed in dance?" She now frowns and tilts her head with a devilish smile

"You don't know what you're talking about," I say quietly. I don't want her to know that what she is saying hurts me.

I didn't do anything to be better than her. I just worked hard like her and that's where we were led

She was selected the second time and I know she wants to crush me at the audition for being selected before her

As if it were my fault

"Ho, you're going to cry," she told me with a baby's voice and takes out her lower lip

''Please stop'' I whisper as I try to keep my tears inside my eyes.

I know she'll make more fun of me if I cry or hurt me even more than right now. I know what she's capable of

"Tell me Wendy where is your mom ?" She asks me with a smirk who is sticking to her plastic face

I start walking to leave but she steps Infront of me so I had to bump into her so I can walk past her.

She laughs loudly as  I go outside, alone, at the beginning of the night, in the dark
