I hear machine noises who woke me up. I feel a hand on mine but I don't open my eyes yet. I feel like if I open them my head will spin around

I groan a little and I feel someone squeezing my hand and stand up benching over me ''Wendy ?''

I feel something wet falling on my face making me opening my eyes immediately and I find myself looking at my best friend who is crying over me

''Ho thank god you're finally awake'' she lets out a sob with a breath of relieve and let her head fall on my chest

I stroke her hair with my hand as I try to understand where I am and why I'm here.

The room is small with yellow walls. I'm on a bed in the middle of the room against a wall and i feel some things bothering me in my arms

''Kellie I reserved the restaurant for tonight. We need to be there at fi- Wendy'' Travis smiles as he sees me awake and walk to the bed

''Hi'' I say a little weaker than I thought and I lift my hand for him to give me a check. He chuckles and gently brings his hand on mine ''how are you doing Wen ?''

''I'm tired'' I say. More I blink and more I feel that my eyes are heavy

''I bet'' he squeezes my ankle as he walks to Kellie

Once he is on the other side of the bed he takes Kellie off of me. I see her tears all over her face and I give her a smile before taking her hand in mine and squeezing it

''What happened ?'' I ask as I try to sit up but I don't have enough strength to do it so I just stay laying

Travis looks at me and frowns ''you don't remember ?''

I shake my head ''no I remember that I've been kidnap and all that stuff but I don't remember after. When you pick me up, I don't remember after that''

He tilts his head '' you were loosing to much blood. You fainted in the car but maybe you were too dizzy to remember before that'' he shurgs ''the person who healed your wound didn't do a fucking great job. The surgeons had to handle that so you won't have a ugly scare on you leg. Your shoulder is fine but you need to go slow''

I sigh and nod my head closing my eyes ''how is James ?'' He was my first thought when I woke up but I didn't want to ask immediately where he was

I was scared of the answer they'll give me and I still am but I want to know where he is and why he isn't next to me

Kellie looks at Travis and she turns around trying to hide her tears. My eyes widen and I immediately sit up making it hurt like hell but I can handle that ''what ?'' I snap

Travis takes a breath and sit beside me on the bed ''when we get inside the car James gets back to the building. We heard gun shots for a few minutes but then the building exploded out of nowhere'' My heart miss a beat ''we found James outside but he was passed out. He had a bullet in the stomach and the doctors think he passed out because of the loud noise from the explosion and the fact that he was loosing blood really quickly''

''W-where is he now ? Does that means he gets out before the building explode ?'' I ask. I'm on the verge of crying right now

''He went to surgery three days ago and the surgeon said it can take him a few day to wake up'' Kellie explains ''he was outside when the building exploded''

I have to understand everything that I just learn. James went in surgery and isn't awake yet. I was asleep for 3 days ?

Travis saw the confusion on my face and he takes my hand ''it's going to be okay Wendy. You went to surgery the minutes we were in this hospital and since then you were sleeping. They put you on médecin so you could rest without caring about anyone else but yourself''
