"And we're back!" the host of some talk show said while looking straight at the camera in front of them.

The audience automatically clapped. The camera focuses on the two person sitting and facing each other.

"As promised, we are here with the author of the best selling novel "The Astronaut." Please welcome, J. Rivers!" another round of applause erupted from the audience. The latter smiled to them and towards the camera.

"Hi! It's good to be here and see all of you." the author told them.

"So, J means Jess, right? Can I call you that?" the host politely asked.

"Sure." Jess answered quickly.

"Alright. First question, how does it feel that your novel is about to get a movie adaptation?" the lady host started.

"Oh, um mixed emotions actually. I'm excited because it's every writer's dream but at the same time, I'm anxious. The Astronaut is my first ever novel and it's like my first born child, you know?" the author laughed a bit, "If it's possible, I want it to have the same success and impact as the book version and I just . . want it to be good. I don't want to disappoint my readers."

"Oh yeah, a lot of movie adaptions  in the past years were not given justice by some filmmakers which angered those who loved the books. Even the authors received some backlash from the fans." the host added.

"And not just that, movie adaption helps authors to reach wider audience to inspire with their work and if the movie failed, it defeats the purpose of bringing it to the mainstream media." Jess commented and the audience clapped.

"Hmm, good point." the lady host agreed, "How's the preparation?"

"It's tiring and fulfilling." Jess smiled, "We started filming a month ago and I always make sure to be present in every shooting days. I'm giving my full attention to it."

The host fired another question, "With that said, are we not going see another book from you for a while?"

"Yes, that's right. It's quite hard on two things at the same time. And I might end up messing both so, I'd like to focus on one project at a time." the author answered shortly.

The host looked at the prompter, "But we received some news that you are writing some one shot stories in your website?"

The author smiled, "Yeah, I do write one shots on my website."

"And we asked some of your fans, they think that it's about your personal life? Some of them are quite curious because they know that you value your privacy. Is it okay to tell us more about it?"

"Yeah, it's just a bunch of ideas that I wanted to do with someone or how I imagined what it would be like with her. However, I think they will stay as figments of my imagination." the writer laughed, "One day, I thought to write them down and let other people read them. It might help."

"So you're telling us that you're single?" the host asked further.

The author smiled, "Yes, I am single." and the audience cheered louder.

"B-but not available." she added with a nervous smile.

The audience spirit instantly die down with little 'aww' can be heard from them.

"I mean with the movie I'm supervising and even after that, there will be a lot of work still. Relationships can be handful sometimes and I don't think I have time for that at the moment." the author explained.

"Okay people, calm yourselves." the host said, "Jess has a point and there's nothing wrong with focusing on your work."

The author agreed by nodding her head.

"So to wrap this up, what would you like to say to your readers?" the host asked instead.

"Yeah, I would like to thank all of you for the support. I will do everything in my power to make this movie a success just like the book version. See you on the big screen!"

With that, the host thanked all the audience for watching and ended the show.
