Juliet stood gazing amongst the party-goers. All were wearing masks and large gowns. The divide in the ballroom the Capulets wearing gold and the Montagues wearing Purple.
Only Juliet and another maiden had worn different colors. Juliet was in a dazzling pink and gold-trimmed dress, with rose-gold floral designs embroidered into the skirt. She wore a pink and golden mask edged with iridescent green butterfly wings.
She was said to be the bell of the ball.
She was the most beautiful maiden there, and she was a Capulet. The princess of the Capulets.
There. She saw it. Him. He was the most handsome young man she'd come across. He was dressed in a dark purple jacket, which had meant he was a Montague. There had been a long lasting feud between the Capulets and the Montagues, but Juliet could not resist. For her, it was love at first sight. She slowly stepped towards the boy, until the music came to an abrupt stop. The ball went still. The guests parted ways, and she had stepped into the ball, with a glittering glass slipper... a Montague.
