So... I was teaching my friend, Snow_queen03 how to download texture packs. However, because she'll probably forget, I'm going to put the instructions on wattpad.
So here it is, how to download texture packs for minecraft.
~~
1.) Go to planet minecraft (the website) and hit textures on the top.
2.) then scroll through the textures and find one you like. (Preferably one that's 80% complete or more)
3.) then hit the small download button off to the right side of the preview pictures. (If it's a big green button or a blue link, that's not it, it's an ad)
4.) The ad Adfly will come up, wait for it to finish counting down, then hit skip ad at the top right corner.
5.) this should lead you to media fire, where there will be a big black button that says, "download" hit that.
6.) there should be a pop up on the bottoms of the screen asking if you want to open the folder when finished downloading. Hit "yes"
7.) when it has finished downloading and the folder for the texture pack is open, on the bar up at the top it should say where the folder for your texture pack was saved. Click the folder your texture pack folder is saved in.
8.) Drag and drop your texture pack folder onto your desktop. There should be a folder with the name of your texture pack on your desktop. It should be a zipped folder. (A folder with a zipper on it...)
9.) Right click the zipped folder and there should be a dropdown. There should be an option that says, "extract" or "unzip" (in some cases) click extract or unzip and it should start extracting the folder.
10.) when it has extracted, there should be a copy of the zipped folder of your texture pack, only it's no longer a zipped folder.
11.) click your home button and in the search bar type, "%appdata%" and the search should come up with a folder called, "roaming". Open the roaming folder.
12.) writhing the roaming folder should be another folder called, ".minecraft" open the .minecraft folder.
13.) inside the .minecraft folder should be another folder called, "resource packs" open that up.
14.) now, from your desktop drag and drop your unzipped texture pack folder into the resource pack folder.
15.) minimize the window you're currently in, and delete the zipped folder on your desktop.
16.) close the roaming folder window. (It's the window opened up to where you put your resource pack into the resource pack folder)
17.) open up minecraft
18.) open up the minecraft options
19.) click resource packs
20.) and your resource pack should be there! Now just click the arrow on your resource pack, hit done, and let it load! It should open up to your new texture pack!!
~~~
In just 20 not-so-simple steps, you downloaded a texture pack!
I hope this helped you Snow_queen03 I posted it on wattpad just in case anyone else was having trouble downloading texture packs.
:-) have a nice day.
