"Max? Max come on." I said still shaking her lightly, she gasped for air. "Are you okay?" I asked, she just looked at us in fear.

Max got up and walked out, we all followed her. "I- I saw a clock." She said as she turned the corner. Nancy and Robin came running towards us. "It was a grandfather clock." She said. "It was right here." "You saw a grandfather clock?" Nancy asked.

"It was so real. And when I got closer...I suddenly...just woke up." "It was like she was in a trance, exaclty what Eddie said happen to Chrissy. " Dustin said. "That's not even the worst part." Max said turning to us.

She led us back into the office and opened the files. "Fred and Chrissy both came to Miss Kelley for help, they both had headaches and then nightmares, trouble sleeping, they would wake up in a cold sweat, and then they started seeing things, bad things from  their past and these visions kept on getting worse and worse...until everything ended." Max explained. "Vecna's curse." Robin said.

"Chrissy started getting headaches a week ago, Fred 6 days ago...I've been having them for 5 days and they both died within 24 hours from seeing their first vision and I just saw that goddamn clock so...looks like I'm going to die tomorrow." She said.

"When you had this vision...Did you hear the clock chiming and a...a deep raspy voice call your name?" I asked. "Yeah...how do you know this?" Max asked. "Because she's been through it." Dustin realized. "What?" Steve asked. "I've been having visions for three years, they stopped when we were in the Russian base but...when we found Eddie they started happening again...I saw Fred die..." I explained, putting my hands over my face.

Before anyone could respond we heard a noise outside. "Stay here." Steve said, grabbing a lamp before walking out. None of us listened and followed him.

We walked down the hallway as we heard footsteps approach us, Steve held the lamp up. A figure ran I'm front us us causing us all to scream. "It's me! It's me!" Lucas said catching his breath. "Jesus Sinclair! I could've taken you out with this lamp!" Steve said shaking the lamp around. "I'm sorry I was biking for eight miles...give me a second." Lucas said catching his breath. "We got a code red." He said.

"What?" We asked. "Dustin, I've been with Jason, Patrick and Andy and they've gone totally off the rails trying to catch Eddie and they think you know we're to find him. You're in terrible danger." Lucas explained. "Yeah, we have bigger problems then Jason right now." Dustin said as he looked over to me and Max.

I heard a chime over and over...

We were in the Wheeler's basement.

"Okay, be honest. Uh... You guys understand any of this?" Steve said reading an article. "No." "Pretty straightforward." "Oh, straightforward, really?"  "What's confusing to you?" "So far, everyone Vecna has cursed has died, except for this old Victor Creel dude Nancy found. He's the only known survivor. If anyone knows how to beat this curse, it's him." "That's assuming he was cursed, which we don't even know. How can Vecna have existed in the '50s? It doesn't make sense." Steve and Dustin talked while I walked around trying to find something.

"Far as we know, Eleven didn't create the Upside Down. She opened a gate to it. The Upside Down has probably been around for thousands of years. Millions. I wouldn't be surprised if it predated the dinosaurs." Dustin explained.

"Okay. But if a gate didn't exist in the '50s, how did Vecna get through? How's he getting through now? And why now? And why then?" Lucas asked, "Just pops out in the '50s, kills one family, and he's like, "I'm good." And poof, he just disappears. Just... gone? Only to return 30 years later and start killing random teens? No, I don't buy it. Straightforward, my ass. Honestly, Henderson, a little humility now and then, it wouldn't hurt you." Steve ranted, "Sorry." Dustin said.
