i arrived at home, seeing my brothers & 2 extra cars at the house.
our parents are in illinois...without us. they come home in 2 days tho.
i opened the front door to see trevor, jack, & the twins in the kitchen.
"katie!" trevor said hugging me first.

"hey guys!" i said setting my duffle bag down to hug them
"hi sister!" korbin said.
"hi brothers!"
"you guys are so lucky to have each other here, luke probably wont care when i come home". jack laughed
"literally. ava will probably just want me to drive her to starbucks." trevor laughed.
"welcome back silver medalist!" kendall said
"yeah, you star goalie." jack said.
"star goalie with a silver medal." i said
"better than i could do." trevor laughed
"moms not here so i have to act like her," korbin started "how was it sweetie? did you have a good time? did you make any friends? how was the food? what about the time change? do you need rest?"
"slow down. i had a great time. made friends. food was good. time change was a little rough but we had it work. and yes, i need rest & an apple." i said
we talked about their world juniors experience as we walked into the living room
"y'all didn't open your presents?" i asked, seeing our christmas & birthday presents by the tree still.
"no, didnt feel right." kendall said
"it sure didn't. this is the new normal tho." i said. "i did open the tickets to the illinois to see my old team play."
"we got tickets to see our old team too." korbin said. "
"mini vaycay!" kendall sang
i got up to go get something to eat and the boys followed me
"what are yall doing here?"
"dang we cant come hang out with the boys?" trevor said.
i rolled my eyes, "whatd you do while we where gone?" korbin asked
"hung out with owen, cried, the team came over for my birthday, the girls had a watch party on the 2nd and we watched the hockey games that day at the facility in our pjs, cried some more, had practice, and sleepovers." i said
"are you okay?" jack asked
"no." i laughed.
"do you need to talk?" trevor asked putting his hand in my shoulder.
"no i just needed to be home with my brothers." i fake cried
"were home sister!" korbin said hugging me.
"you guys are lucky, yall are here together." jack said
"we dont have much longer together, thats the sad part." i said
