Hospital

"Ate?" Saturn hands me a cup of coffee and sits beside me outside of Ivan's room.

"Still no update from Jill and Fausti?" I asked her.

"Wala pa po." She answered shortly.

"Are you okay?" I worriedly asked my sister. "Y-You just witnessed something that was mentally traumatizing a while ago."

I can still remember how I heard her plead and beg me to come home because of what happened, but I am still proud of her for handling the situation without panicking and breaking down first.

"The moment I saw Ate Memo fall on the floor beside that woman, I knew something was wrong." She stopped and sighed "T-Tapos hindi ako makatawag ng ambulansya kasi ayaw ni Ate Memo sa hospital and when I touch her head she is bleeding." I held my sister's hand that was trembling. "I immediately called Ate Jill and Kuya Fausti. Dahil sa taranta nakalimutan kong i-check si Ate Ivan agad."

"You know, it is not your fault." I immediately cut her before she could continue blaming herself for what happened.

"The moment I entered her room, I saw her lying on the floor with an e-empty bottle of sleeping pills beside her." And my sister started crying. "If only I came and checked her earlier, baka napigilan ko siya Ate. She has no pulse, b-baka kung h-hindi dumating ang lah-" And she broke down crying.

I hugged her tightly and cried with her.

"No one wants that to happen. Stop blaming yourself." And I just hugged her until she calmed down.

"Should we tell this to Ate Memo?" She asked while fixing herself.

"She will know this immediately, saying it to her earlier will help her think of things to do." I don't want to hide these things from Memo.

"Ate, nagtext na po si Ate Iriza. She said Ate Memo is now awake." I can feel that my worries are somehow lessened by that news.

"Let's call them I want to hear Memo." We immediately dialed Iriza's number.

"Hello?"

"Iriza? Can I talk to Memo?"

"Yes, yes. Puntahan lang naming sila sa kwarto."

I patiently waited for them.

"Ica is calling Jill."

That's what I heard in the other line.

"Ica, kamusta kayo diyan?"

Jill asked me.

"Ivan is still unconscious but she is now okay."

"I think my heart is beating again because gising na si Memo and Ivan are now okay."

I really didn't get what Jill was saying because all I could hear in the other line was Memo, who was pleading with Fausti to let her leave and see Ivan.
