"ᴶᵘʳᵃˢˢⁱᶜ ᴾᵃʳᵏ ⁱˢⁿ'ᵗ ʰᵃᵘⁿᵗᵉᵈ"

A compy had just taken the compass out from Darius's hand and now a group of the kids were chasing after that compy while being surrounded by a few others. This was because Kenji used shiny coins.

"Go get her, Yaz!" Kenji cheered on Yasmina, who just quickly ran past the two boys.

While sprinting after the compy, Yasmina shouted at it. "Don't play with me, compy! You will not outrun me!"

Violet was casually jogging beside the two boys in the back. "Do we really need the compass?"

"Yes!" They all shouted at her.

Yasmina was just an inch away from grabbing the compy but then it let go of the compass. This made her rush to stop running. When she turned around, she saw another compy pick it up. "Hey! That's cheating!"

Darius and Kenji ran into eachother while trying to grab the compy.

Violet jumped over the two boys while chasing after the compy with the compass. "Guys, I think I like this game. I'm definitely winning."

Yasmina ran past the two boys. "Come on, quick slacking!" She then caught up to Violet. "Oh, and you're definitely not winning this."

"Watch me." Violet faced forward to chase after the compy with the compass. She was currently running beside Yasmina.

Violet raised her voice,"Me and Bullet used to play this game all the time!"

Yasmina exhaled as she spoke with sarcasm, "Maybe you can call him so he can get the compass back to us from his friends."

They all continued running, chasing the compy down, then coming to a stop. They snuck around while they searched for the compy.

"Anyone see where it went?" Yasmina walked down the dirt road.

They saw an abandoned vehicle then a building not too far.

Darius went over to them, looking at the building. His brows raised as his eyes widened. "Guys, do you know where we are? Welcome to Jurassic Park."

Violet looked away from the building and to Darius. She then took a step back and glanced at Kenji. "You mean, like the..."

She remembered hearing all sorts of stories about this place with Kenji when they were younger.

Darius nodded, "Yeah. This is where it all began."

Kenji started walking backwards too, scared. "Nope. No way. We shouldn't be here. Everyone knows this place is haunted."

"Haunted?" Darius asked Kenji, not knowing that part.

"Yeah! Even I know bad things happened here." Violet spoke in a loud whisper. She glanced up to meet Kenji's eyes with the two of them taking another step back in sync.

"As opposed to the rest of this island?" Darius, on the other hand, didn't look afraid as he turned his head to look at the two older kids. Then he turned to Yasmina. "We need that compass. Please talk some sense into them."

Violet whispered while turning her head around to look at the bush, "We can just stay out here–" She turned her body around but stopped when a hand was placed on the back of her shirt.

Yasmina gently pulled Violet closer to her then put a hand on her shoulder, "You jumped into a pit of water with a sea monster but you're afraid of...some ghosts?"

"No." Violet slightly shook her head while keeping her eye contact on Yasmina. "I'm not afraid of some ghosts, Yaz. I'm terrified! If I go in there and there are ghosts, they will follow me home. In my safe space."

Yasmina stifled a laugh. "So, let me get this straight. You're scared of sharks and ghosts but you're willing to try and ride a meat-eating dinosaur?"

Violet looked at her seriously, "Yes."

Yasmina made sure that Violet wouldn't run away as she spoke, "Well, Darius is right. Jurassic Park isn't haunted."

Darius smiled and lightly elbowed Kenji on the chest.

Yasmina looked at the two who were scared of entering the building. Her brows furrowed, "It's cursed."

Darius stopped smiling, confused. "What?"

He was so sure she was going to back him up.

Violet slowly moved her hands to hold onto Yasmina's forearm. She nervously glanced at the dark building. Yasmina stood there, confident and knowing that Violet was afraid and latching onto her made her want to continue the story even more.

Yasmina told them the story in a scary storytelling tone. "Legend has it that the original park owner broke his ankle here and then was eaten alive by compies!"

Kenji quickly moved his hands to cover his mouth with a loud gasp.

"Compies?!" Violet raised her voice in confusion. "Is this my punishment?"

Darius kept his eye on Yasmina, "That's not true. John Hammond died of natural causes."

"So, it is true." Violet widened her eyes, clutching onto Yasmina's arm more.

"Did you not listen to a word I said?" Darius sighed, putting a hand over his head. He looked at Yasmina, "Where'd you hear that?"

Yasmina relaxed her body. She raised her right hand up to gently tap Violet's arm a few times while speaking, "Read it somewhere. I'm kind of obsessed with theme park deaths."

"You sure came to the right place." Kenji stared at her.

Violet shook her head, "I like mysterious stuff too but not when I'm the one there. I'm not dealing with ghosts on top of dinosaurs. No way." She moved her hands down away from Yasmina and then turned away from them to walk away. "Absolutely not."

"Ah!" Violet yelped and slid back on the dirt, landing on her butt from hearing a loud shriek sound of a a compy jumping out of a bush. It stood up on her chest, causing her to fall down on the ground.

Her scream, along with the compys screech, made everyone else, including Darius and Yasmina, jump with loud gasps. Violet deeply exhaled from her heart racing. Seeing that the sun was blocked out from her view, Violet looked up to see Yasmins staring down at her with a hand on her hip.

"Why are you looking at me like that?"

Yasmina sighed with a smile, "What would you do without me?"
