One Dock Stop Later,

Each kid had survived from that last supply run. Most of them were off the yacht on this stop getting necessities. Violet was on the yacht in the control room by herself, with her eyes looking out the window to spot Yasmina, who was down on the boardwalk.

"You two have like, a thing going on, right?" A voice was heard behind Violet, near the doorway.

Violet turned her head to see Connor standing there. She hadn't said a word yet. Her heart nearly stopped. So, this is how Yaz probably felt.

"You and Yaz...?" Connor entered the room.

Violet had nearly choked on the air and panicked, "Pardon?"

"Pardon?" Connor raised his brow at her. "It's either a yes or no, Violet."

Violet stares at him, wondering what he was thinking and why he brought this up. However, she was glad it wasn't in front of others because then the spotlight would be put on her.

She slowly glanced at Yasmina through the window. They did have a thing. It was something that felt new. Kissed that one time. A few times in a moment. One said it was a mistake. They talked and got over the misunderstanding. Thoughts of kissing had definitely occurred.

There wasn't really a label. They haven't talked about things, but there was clearly flirting. Unless...unless Violet was being delusional. No. They talked about things. Maybe they should talk again. Eh, who talks?

Violet sees Connor staring at her which made her get out of her head, "What was the question?"

Connor went looking in the same direction as Violet when she had glanced at Yasmina but just not at the same person. He glanced back over at Violet, "C'mon, I know. It's obvious, Violet. You guys don't even try to hide it anymore."

"Really?" Violet quickly looks at him. She smiles, then points at him with a finger gun, "I mean, hide what?"

Connor raised his brows with a chuckle, seeing her just quiet. "It's cool if you don't want to talk about it. I won't tell anyone but literally everyone already kind of knows. I think Kenji is a little clueless and Ben..." His voice lowered, making him respond in a slower tone, "I'm not a hundred percent sure if he knows too. I never know what he's thinking."

Violet stands more straight and speaks seriously. "Let's say I do know what you mean. Did you have a question for me?"

Connor lightly exhaled, not believing that he was going to ask her, "How...how did it happen?"

"It?" Violet looked up at the roof in thought before answering, "There's a lot that happened. You have to be a little more specific, Connor."

Connor sighs loudly. "Okay. Like, you know. You don't think of each other as friends, right? So, how did you get her to look at you like how you look at her?"

"Oh."

From outside the yacht, Yasmina missed Violet's presence and wondered what her musically talented friend was. She hadn't really spoken to her since the fog and when her eyes searched for the girl through the broken glass up on the yacht, she saw Violet talking with Connor. The two were standing right beside each other, really close, and a dumb smile was plastered on Violet's face. Violet had her arm on Connor's shoulder, leaning closer to him as if she were whispering some nonsense to him. At least, that's what Yasmina saw from her perspective.
