"ᵂᵉ'ʳᵉ ʰᵉˡᵖⁱⁿᵍ ᵃʳᵉⁿ'ᵗ ʷᵉ?"

They all hurried to run out the doors of the building. The raptor was quick to chase after them. The group saw an abandoned truck that was tilted on top of a boulder, so they all jumped into it. Kenji was the first to hurry in, taking the driver's seat with Yasmina in the passenger seat. Violet was in the back with Darius who just found a tranquilizer dart gun.
The Raptor jumped up to hit the truck and it did so repeatedly.
"Hey, check out this tranquilizer rifle." Darius grabbed it behind the seats near the trunk area. "Maybe we can–"
He was cut off as everyone jolted forward from the impact of the raptor hitting the back of the truck. Then it ran up on the side and continued to ram into the side until it just stopped.
It was quiet.
The truck didn't shake anymore and the raptor wasn't heard or seen.
"Where'd she go?" Kenji whispered. He looked out the window. "Maybe she went back to get her raptor friends."
"If she did..." Violet moved her hand towards Darius, grabbed the tranquilizer rifle, "Sorry but I'm taking this."
"Please do." Darius let her take the rifle without a thought, having full trust in her handling the weapon. Out of the older kids, he definitely trusted Violet to protect them.
Darius then went to look out the window, "If she still had a pack, they'd be here by now. She's alone."
Violet was examining the tranquilizer rifle as she put her hand on the rifle correctly with her finger near the trigger. She was getting a test out to get used to this rifle.
Sounds of leaves rustling were heard on the right side of the truck which is the side where Violet and Yasmina's seats were while Kenji and Darius sat on the other side. This caused them all to gasp and look at the direction of the sound, trying to find the raptor.
It was still quiet and quiet for seconds. Seconds that felt too long.
Everyone screamed as the raptor jumped up on the front of the truck. It hit the window a few times, then climbed up on the top part. It ran down from the top and went to hit the back of the truck. As it did, Yasmina, who was in the passenger seat, pulled the truck's shifter, taking them out of park mode. The truck now went down off the boulder and allowed them to roll down the hill while the raptor chased after.
Violet leaned her hand upward near the truck's top window. With one hand on the rifle and one on the window, she stood up so she could put her head out the window, aiming the rifle out.
