Violet Myers had a lot of crazy ideas and this was definitely one of the most craziest and stupidest ones.
The chair she had in her hands smashed against the Scorpios rex, making it screech as she had just jumped off the cliff of their camp. Now she landed on the top of the Scorpio's back, nearly touching the spikes on its head.
The Scorpios quickly turned away from her friends and its head tried to reach her. This had only made it harder for Violet to stay on top but she didn't want to. Her hands couldn't grip anywhere to stay still against the dinosaur's tough skin.
It was an impulsive move and decision. Her body acted before her brain did when she jumped off the cliff.
"I'm ready to get off!" Violet shouted as she didn't know where to put her hands.
"Violet!?" Brooklynn raised her voice in shock, looking up at Violet like she was crazy.
The Scorpios ran in a half circle, trying to get Violet off until it swung its body into the fence, making the girl fly off and over onto the other side.
Violet landed in the mud. Adrenaline was rushing but she still felt a bit of the pain. She slowly rolled to the side with a cough as her forearms laid in the mud, "My back will never be the same after this island."
The Scorpios froze from hearing other screeches and roars of another dinosaur.
Violet was still lying on the wet ground in the dark rainy night as she watched the Scorpios jump over the fence and also over her body. Then it ran off into the distance. Her heart dropped at the sight of it running away. With a loud exhale, she let her body fully hit the ground to stay lying down.
Kenji opened the gated door only for Yasmina to run out first.
"Violet!" Yasmina shouted from seeing the girl on the other side of the fence, on the ground. She saw the girl lift her head up upon her name being called, "Are you insane?"
Violet glanced up at her, then her eyes passed over to Kenji, who walked into the distance to help her up.
"I...wasn't thinking?" Violet made her way back into the camp as she tried to avoid the pestering questions.
"You're not supposed to run towards it like you do with all the compys." Yasmina said in a hurtful tone as if she were dumb. "Their teeth are much bigger."
Violet shrugged it off, patting herself down, making sure that her limbs were still intact. "I know that. You can yell at me later. Is everyone alive? Hurt?" Her eyes scanned everyone then up to see Connor still up on the top of the deck, making his way down the ladder.
