After a long walk, the group finally made it to their destination.
Kenji stood in front of them all with his arms spread out, "Welcome to Lookout Point!" He turned around, pointing at the top. "Well, to be fair, Lookout Point is up there, but you get the gist."
"So, how do we get up there?" Darius put his hand above his head to block the sun so he could see Lookout Point.
"The sky gondola, usually." Kenji pointed at the circle orbs on the wires. "But with the power out, you'll have to go on foot. It shouldn't be too bad. Probs just a one-to-five day trek."
Yasmina stretched her arms, confident and ready for the not-so-challenge, "That'll take me an hour."
"And that'll take me half the time it'll take you." Violet watched the tracksuit girl stretch her arms. She followed after the athlete and slightly mimicked her as she stretched her shoulders back.
Yasmina had her left arm stretched over with the support of her right arm upward. While stretching, she stared over at Violet with a small smile. Her brow slightly raised with a huffed chuckle, "Half an hour?" She put her arms down to lean forward to Violet in a low voice, "You'd have to be able to at least beat me in one race."
"Did you forget already?" Violet, being taller, looked down at Yasmina, leaning a bit forward. From their close distance, Violet instinctively felt her eyes finding them on Yasmina's lips as her own lips curved a small smile, "You know, that one time you hurt your ankle."
"Wow." Yasmina had a shut smile as she looked away before shoving Violet aside. "That's how it's going to be. That does not count. Violet, I was injured."
"And I was injured too," Violet spoke in a confident, convincing voice to herself.
Yasmina tilted her head with furrowed brows. She had a confused look on her face, "No you weren't. You were in perfect shape."
"Thank you for the compliment but I had a broken heart." Violet placed a hand over her heart while being dramatic she made an offended and sad look on her face. "You were being mean to me."
Sammy lifted her head from having been talking to the other part of the group. A smile appeared on her face as she saw the two actually talking more lately. It was a huge improvement from the other week.
So, Sammy walked over to them, "There's no need to fight on who gets there first. You guys can do it together."
Yasmina raised a brow at Violet, awaiting her response with the tilt of her head. "What do you say...champ?" She elbowed Violet. "We in this together or...?"
