The girl was trying too hard and he was getting irritated. From the moment she had walked towards him with that shy look on her face and the provocative way she walked, he had known what she was up to. Kachi knew he was an asshole and if she kept it up, the girl would end up getting hurt. He didn't want that.
Right now, she was bent on the table, putting her cleavage directly in front of his face. He didn't know how using his card on the POS machine translated to her almost shoving her breasts in his face.
"Girl, stand up." He tried to say this in his calmest voice but he must have failed because she jumped back. "What do you want?"
"S-s-sir?" The girl's eyes grew wide as saucers as she took another step back. He couldn't believe this. She had been brave enough to try all her antics but she was scared of a simple question.
"Relax. Just relax and tell me what you want. I see you trying really hard, but I am not in the habit of assuming so you have to open your mouth and tell me what you want. Okay?" The girl nodded. "What's your name?"
"Yemi, sir."
"That's a nice name. Yemi, tell me what it is exactly that you want."
Her eyes flashed a little before she said, "you."
He almost laughed. Who was this girl to want him? She was not even on his level, but he didn't blame her. She was human and true to human nature, she wanted what she couldn't possibly have.
"Is it sex or money, Yemi? I want you to think about this really well before you answer me."
Her head dipped as she stared at her feet but she didn't waste anytime to reply. "money."
"You're very wise Yemi. If you had chosen sex, you wouldn't have gotten it and would have lost out on a good amount of money. Will fifty thousand help? I know that's your monthly salary."
Yemi fell to her knees. "Thank you sir. Thank you sir."
"You don't have to thank me. Its not exactly free. That your coworker downstairs? Call her for me."
The girl immediately turned to leave.
"Wait," he called and she turned back to face him. "Write your account number down and give it to me."
The girl immediately brought out her pen and book and jotted it down. She placed it on the table and ran downstairs. This was easier than he thought. The girl had made everything easier for him.

"Why would he be calling me Yemi?" Aria was in panic mode.
The girl had ran down from the lounge and immediately asked her to go up. There was only one person up there and the only reasons he had to ask for her were once that sent her heart into palpitations. Did he recognize her from the club? Was that it? Had Yemi gone up there to run her mouth? Or was it from their encounter at the apartment?
"I don't know. He just asked me to call you," Yemi replied as she pretended to be busy arranging napkins that were already in order.
Aria grabbed her arm and forced the girl to look at her face. "Did you tell him?"
"Tell him what?" The girl still wasn't meeting her eyes and Aria knew something was up.
"About me being the dancer."
Her eyes widened as she held onto that piece of information. "He doesn't know it's you?"
"I was wearing a mask." She let go of the girl's hand and continued to fret. "What exactly did he say?"
"He just asked me to call my coworker for him. Nothing else."
She eyed Yemi, certain that the girl was still holding out on some much needed information. "you're sure?"
"Yes. That's it. Please go."
Aria took the stairs as slowly as she could to delay this particular meeting and give her time to figure everything out. When she finally got there, his head was bent over his phone and she paused to just take him in. This man was too fine. How was it possible that he looked like this? His parents must be extremely beautiful people too, she thought.
As if he could sense that he was being watched, his dark eyes snapped up and he looked at her. Even from the distance, Aria felt his gaze hold her captive and refused to let go. She held her breath as this man's gaze stripped her soul.
"Why are you standing there?" he asked gruffy and she held in her retort. This was not the time to talk smart. She needed to know what he knew and why he wanted to see her first. At the moment she was at a disadvantage so she hurried over and came to a stop in front of him.
"You asked for me?"
He shot her a look. "I did?"
Now she was confused. Yemi had definitely said this man asked to see her. Why was he now behaving like he hadn't?
"That's what she told me."
"Hmm. What's your name girl?"
Girl? Who was he calling girl? Aria was fumed. What was with this man and always finding a way to piss her off?
"Aria," she replied without thinking much about it. Could he deduce Ria from Aria? He looked smart and if she was here, he probably already knew she was the dancer.
"Aria," he said with a small smile. "Did I ask your colleague to call any Aria? I don't think I did."
"But that's what she told me now. That you sent for me, so I came."
"Are you the only person working here? Apart from this your colleague we're talking about."
She didn't understand what it had to do with anything. He was just proving difficult. "No," she said tersely.
"I told her to call a coworker, not specifically you. Since you are here anyway, let's just get on with it."
"But-"
Kachi silenced her with a look. This man had too much power in that his eyes. It wasn't right that he could do this.
"I want to pay. The POS is not working and I have tried doing transfer, but there's an issue with the accounts."
"You tried sending to all the account numbers pasted there?" She pointed to the wall opposite him where Odogwu's account details were boldly written.
"Yes."
"The three of them?" She eyed him suspiciously.
"Yes."
She looked at the drinks on the table and since she was the one that actually sent Kunle to bring it up, she knew how much the total was. "You don't have fifteen thousand naira cash?"
"I don't carry cash along with me."
Who was this man that didn't need to have cash on him? "So what do you want me to do?"
"Give me your account details."
