It was bright inside the room when she heard the quiet knock in front of the door. Aria groaned, hoping the person would give up and leave her alone. She and Kachi had been at it till around three this morning when he'd finally left the room, asking her to get some rest. She'd passed out immediately after he shut the door.

The knock came again and she sat up groggily, her eyes squinting to look at the clock in front of her. It was just past seven meaning she had been asleep for about four hours. It was not nearly enough and she cursed whoever it was knocking. She had already deduced it wasn't Kachi because he'd not knocked the last time. The door was open so she was sure that if it was him, nothing would have stopped him from entering. There was nothing like courtesy in his DNA and she couldn't even picture him standing outside the door.

By the time the knock came again, she'd worked up some anger. She grabbed the robe on the couch beside the bed; the one that went with the nightdress, the same one she hadn't gotten around to wearing last night. She tightened the sash around her waist and pulled the door open. Usman grinned at her and she narrowed her eyes. Why was he so bubbly this early in the morning?

"Good morning Miss Zariah. How was your night?" He folded his hands in front of him as his eyes remained on her face. If he looked down and close enough, she was sure he could tell how her night was. Her dress was rumpled and her hair was all over the place.

"Good morning Usman. You can call me Aria," she smiled slightly and leaned against the door jamb.

"Mr. Onyekachi asked me to give you a ride home if you need it. He said you could also stay if you want since you guys are seeing later tonight."

"Tonight? What for?"

Usman stared blankly at her, giving her the impression that he knew why exactly she was here. Heat crept up her body. Was it possible that he'd heard them last night? She didn't know how thick the walls were here and even if they were thick, she'd been far from quiet. After the first round, Kachi had let her scream as much as she wanted.

"I don't know what business you have with him, but I can call and ask him," Usman stated calmly and pulled out his phone.

"No, no. Don't call him. Were you here last night?"

"No. You and Mr. Onyekachi were the only ones here. The staff all resume work at seven am and leaves by seven pm, except Ahmed at the gate that is."

Aria let out a loud exhale. "Give me his number so I can ask him why we're meeting tonight." Her body was not ready for day two. She needed at least seventy-two hours to recharge before thinking of going near him.

"I'll ask him and get back to you," Usman said. "What time would you be ready to go?"

She frowned. What was it and this his phone number that they couldn't let her have? "Where's Kachi?" She stepped out of the room, intent on finding him. "I'll ask him for the number myself."

"He's already left for work ma. What do I tell him about tonight?"

"Tell him I'm working," she hissed. "I'll be ready to go in an hour." She'd go home and complete her sleep then sort out the debt with Mike later. Kachi had sent the one million naira as promised and she was looking forward to being free of one load.

"Your friends are here sir," Tope, Kachi's personal assistant said as she pushed his office door open.

"Who?" He didn't bother to look up from the computer screen that he was staring at.

"Mr. Chike Udenze and Mr. Azu Johnson," she replied. "Do I send them in or should I take a message?"

He looked up this time, wondering just what they wanted to ask him for. "let them in. Do I have any other meetings scheduled for today?"

"No sir. After they leave, you're free for the day."

He nodded at her and she bowed slightly before leaving. He heard them long before they were in his office; Azu's booming voice carrying all the way from reception.

"I half expected him to send us away," Azu said. He didn't hear what Chike said in response and then the door was opened again. "Kachi, my man," Azu greeted walking towards him.

He stood up and extended his hand for his friend to shake, disregarding it, Azu pulled him into an embrace.

"You've been avoiding Bode and I so I volunteered to come see you," he said as he grabbed a seat in front of the table.

"And why's he here?" Itachi asked, nodding at Chike who was still standing by the door.

"That one?" Azu turned to look at him. "he was supposed to be my shield incase you were still mad at me."

"He's doing a really shitty job then," Kachi grinned. His two friends exchanged glances and Chike walked into the office proper.

"How are you doing man?" Chike asked, taking Kachi's outstretched hand.

"I'm great," he replied and watched his two friends exchange that look again. "What is it?" He took his seat just as Chike took the one beside Azu.

"First he's smiling and now he's doing great?" Azu laughed, slapping Chike on the back. The other man winced but didn't refute what he said.

"Who took out the giant stick up your ass?" Chike grinned.

"What do you mean? Is it that rare for me to be smiling and doing great?"

Chike shook his head. "Usually you just say fine with this bored tone. But now you're smiling and your eyes are twinkling."

"You should smile more man, you look really great," Azu intoned. "With a face like this, its hard to believe women are not swarming around you."

"Oh not women," Chike corrected. "there's definitely a woman. You saw the dancer right?"

"Is that why you guys are here?" Kachi sighed.

"He's avoiding it," Azu said, turning to face Chike. "he definitely saw this dancer, that's why he's jiggy. Is it the same dancer from the club?"

Chike nodded, his grin almost splitting his face in two.

Why were they so interested in his sex life? It was because of these reactions that he avoided talking about stuffs like this and made them assume he wasn't that into women. Truthfully he loved women and derived great pleasure in fucking them.

Kachi leaned back in his chair. This particular visit would be a long one, he could already see it.

I kinda missed his friends. Do you think there's another reason for Azu coming to see him?

Do you think Usman knows what's going on between Kachi and Zariah?
