Khayr's POV

This definitely has to be one of the best days in my life. As promised, Sulaiman did take me to Lagos and the way I entered the lobby was as dramatic as anything. Both of my hands were full with shopping bags, and it did not stop on me alone. Sulaiman was even holding the heavier ones. Did I ever mention that I was shop-aholic? I honestly shopped too much that I feared i'd have to leave certain stuff behind.

"Welcome back," the receptionist told us as we passed in front of her counter

"Thank you" I breathed out and continued walking, but I did not miss the smirk which she threw at Sulaiman. I ignored it and spelled it out as her just being jealous. Jealous that such a handsome man like Sulaiman was my man.

We finally stopped at the corridors which houses our rooms. Sul rolled his eyes and dumped the shopping bags on the floor in front of my room. He looked extremely annoyed and I knew it's my fault so I smiled sheepishly.

"Thank you for today"

"Nevermind" he said, unlocking his room without looking at my side. He looked too eager to get into his room. I could feel and understand his exhaustion.

"Wait!" I stepped forward to stop him as I remembered something. I nearly held his hand, but he sharply held it to his body before I did. I tried to not look hurt by what he just did and proceeded with my question.

"Are you coming to the funfair tomorrow?"

"What funfair?" He scowled

"The funfair which will take place tomorrow. Don't tell me you don't know about it...everyone was given a flier" I don't even know where I got all the confidence to speak up like this. I was usually very very unsure with words and wary when I was around him, unlike today. Perhaps it's still the reminants of the excitement I have from today's date that's kicking in.

"I wasn't given one" he crossed his arms across his chest

"But I saw you staring at mine yesterday.." I blurted

"Well, I'm not going" he sternly told me "I can never attend such a childish event. If you want to go you're totally free to, however, count me out of it"

He turned to go back into his room before he remembered something and reversed, poking his head out. "Oh and by the way we're leaving next tomorrow"
I sighed as he banged his door close but smiled when I sighted the shopping bags on the ground. I packed them one after the other into my room and locked up. I scattered the bags on my bed and spilled out all of what I brought, recalling the previous events of the day.

It really felt like a birthday. Like a birthday of a princess accompanied by a driver and a bodyguard. Sulaiman was robotic as always, and behaved no different to a driver and bodyguard with me today. There were a lot of things I wanted to do that it was extremely hard to narrow them into the few things which I did today. All the people I wanted to visited too, I couldn't.

When we were done with one thing, Sul would ask "where next" and when I was done with the next stuff he'd ask "what's next" that's why I said he was completely behaving like a driver and also, a bodyguard. We went to the arcade place first where I spent some hours before noon. I played all sorts of games to my heart's content and even tried to make Sul play, but you know him. Rather than getting some fun, he preferred to stand and watch me, just like a bodyguard would.
