Chapter 6

"Nevermind, I don't really wanna go actually...."

Migyung chuckled embarrassedly while wiping his brother's face that got wet because of her. Her brother was looking at her with deadly eyes while crossing his arms.

"Why my handsome face? Can't you spat anywhere else?", he yanked her hands away and took the tissue before wiping his face himself.

"Sorry, I like your face better. By the way, can you buy an ice cream for me? Since I don't wanna go"

"Migyung, are you okay? Do you know that guy?", her mom asked making her gulp. Mino stops wiping his face and looks at her like he's wondering the same thing.

"Nope! I'm just....s-shy to meet someone from my school", she hung her head low to avoid eye contacts from both of them.

"Why should you? You should meet someone from that school and get to know them. He can be your friend also since her mother and I are friends", Mrs. Lee said.

"Um....are you so close to his mom?"

"Yup, very close. Her mother is a very hardworking woman. Being a single mom, taking care of everything herself. She's even sick right now. Her husband left her few years ago. You know Migyung, she's not like us. She's poor. That's why I always helped her since 2 years ago, and that time she lives normally but after we moved to the other state, her life got more worse. She used to work at my beauty salon, but after we moved she can no longer work. She's the most awesome employee I've ever had. So I gave her more pay check than the actual amount . But It didn't last than a year. She couldn't find any jobs. She had to pay for her son's school fees. I didn't know because I was too busy.....I felt so bad...."

"And after my beauty salon had finished renovated, I'll ask her to work again. She doesn't allow her son to work because she wants him to focus on studying. Whenever I helped her, she always felt like she's a burden, but not at all. She's like a family to me so I had always ask kind peoples for donations to her family"

Migyung went silence when she heard about how Sunghoon and her mother lived. She already felt bad.

"Oh...that's so sad....", Mino sat down besides her mother.

Migyung look down to her feet, zoning out.

Should I go?

Or should I not?

"What are you thinking about? Let's just go let's not waste our time here", Mino said and walked towards the elevator.

"Wait! I need to get ready first!"

"Hurry, I'm leaving if I didn't see your chubby cheeks in 5 minutes, start from now! By the way what ice cream do you wanna buy?"

"Durian of course"

"Ew that smelly thing?"

"Yah! You can't say—"

"10 seconds passed"

"Yah! Ugh okay I'll go now!"

Migyung clicked the button and wait for the elevator to stop at the floor she's at while her brother went inside the other elevator. Yes, it has two elevators but earlier they just used one for the race since the elevator was already on the floor they stayed.

The elevator stops as Migyung took a step in and clicked the button to the 3rd floor which is where her room is.

Mino knocks on the door while waiting for someone to open it. Migyung was hiding behind his tall and wide figure. She's so small so the person who was about to open the door can't see her. She zoned out when she saw his house. She's feeling bad that he's actually poor.....
